I have the tobacco burst G-50 and i could not be happier with it. It looks way better then the picures, the finish is flawless. The guitar is made out of solid wood, so it will sound golden with age. the feel of the guitar is great, and guild is strict about how thin the gloss must be so it does not affect the tone. deff. recomend it.

First off I just got my Guld GAD-50 yesterday I am in love with it. The solid rosewood for this price is a great value. I also have several Blueridge guitars which are great, but the guild seems to be better when it comes to details like the finish in the sound hole and the tuners are of better quality on the guild. Both the Guild and the Blueridges sound great. I like the Guild better for me. When the GAD-50 is put beside the high end guitars it stands up very well i have an older gibson southren jumbo from the 60's have had a D-28 I wouldent say they sounded any better they only cost more. If you are in the market you wont regret getting this Guild.

Good name but not American made

I have several Guilds and they play pretty well. Although my J-40 twelve was made with a misaligned bridge making it impossible to tune and Fender(who owns Guild) gave me a song and a dance on the repair of a new guitar. These Asian made guitars are really expensive! This guitar cost as much as my J-40 and J-4012 and both came with cases. I like the looks and know that Guild had made good instruments before being gobbled up be Fender. But this new line leaves me looking at the Martins, Alvarez, Blue Ridge, Takamine, Epi Masterbuilt, Parkwoods and even Silver Creek instead of this foreign pretender.

I have a Guild GAD 50 natural...and simply love it. I use clear tone light strings and have installed a Fishman preamp. You will find yourself picking up guitars that cost thousands and laugh when you compare the quality, sound and sheer beauty.

Im mainly a martin/gibson player but this guitar is exceptional! I purchased this 2 months ago and was pleasantly surprised.

The woods are beautiful, the tones are balanced and full, and the price is generous for what you get.

The most surprising thing is the feel of the neck. It makes you feel like you can play all day.

Its become my go-to mid-range. So if youre looking for a quality dreadnought with great feel and quality features for under a grand then look no further!
