Like its brother, the D-40 Bluegrass Jubilee, Guild's D-50 Bluegrass Special Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar is for players who want the great early 1960s Guild in a larger, dreadnought-body instrument, and for finger-style and flat-pick players who need an instrument with great note articulation.

We're talkin' vintage D-50 specs, solid red spruce top and scalloped bracing, solid rosewood back and sides, tortoise bindings, one-piece 20-fret mahogany neck, ebony fingerboard and bridge, pearl dot inlays, Grover Rotomatic tuning machines and bone nut and saddle.

Absolutely no joke, Its known that Guild gives you more for the money. At the music store sitting right along side what most consider the best, Gibson / Martins sat this beauty. In my opinion and a musician friend (25years playing ) This guitar was just as nice if not better. For under 2K you get a guitar that sounds like one in the 3K catagory. Came from a shop that puts out low volumn ,giving more attention to quality (Tacoma Wash.) Check it out.
