The Guild D40 Bluegrass Jubilee is the best guitar I have ever owned or played; from Martins to Gibsons, from Yamahas to Washburns, from Takamines to MacPhersons. It plays and sounds like instruments at twice or three-times the price. The workmanship is excellent, regardless. It is a sparse guitar, to the point of elegance. No wild inlays or multiple purflings distract from the quality woods and mother-of-pearl necessities.

And the sound...It will make you sound better than you are, no matter how good you are. The harder you play it, the better it sounds, too. The Guild motto: "Made to be Played" is not just words.

Overall, this guitar is the best value for the money for the serious amateur and up. If you love to play, you will love this guitar.
