Brilliant, edgy DynaSonic pickups with independent volume controls and a classic Gretsch Bigsby trem make this a hard-rocking retro rocket with voluminous vintage vibe. Mahogany body with multiple-bound arched maple top and bound ebony-stained rosewood fretboard on a mahogany neck add fabulous feel and singing sustain. Roller bridge and deluxe high-gear-ratio enclosed machines provide super stable tuning.

George Harrison bought his used G6128T in Hamburg, Germany, and played it extensively during the Cavern era and on early Beatles recordings!

Beautiful and Unique

I love my Duo. On the outside it's simply beautiful, but you can notice some little things like the space inbetween the neck dynasonic and the neck itself. The frets could've been polished a little better and crafted better. Love the tuners, they stay tight. This guitar is a son of a gun to restring. The manual tells you not to take all the strings off when you restring it because of the floating bridge but I do it anyway. If you do, you will need to reposition the floating bridge to make sure the intonation is good. This shouldn't be a problem though, because most people that own this guitar are going to be experianced players with good ears for that sort of stuff. The dynasonics are awesome, I love them. Make the guitar sound like no other, and can give you the sound you want to stand out in a crowd. A little heavy. It's bulky so it's a little difficult to play past the 15th fret, but you will get used to it. I love mine- but try one before you buy it!

What a great looking guitar. A little heavier than I expected. Plays smooth and has that great Harrison sound. Will not part with this one.

This guitar is extremely nice. I had the opportunity to talk to someone who is familiar with the team that did this generation of this guitar and they did a fabulous job of re-creating the '57 Duo Jet based on George Harrison's guitar. The guys at Gretsch / Fender are fanatics and it shows. The guitar is flawless and sounds great. It's also surprisingly light. You will love this guitar.

I used this guitar at a local music shop, and I loved it. It's great if you want to play really early Beatles' stuff, or whatever floats your boat! This guitar has "That Great Gretsch Sound!"

I own a Duo Jet but mine has the filter-tron humbucking pick-ups, I just wish mine was not a re-issue and was an origionial 57 Dou Jet.
