My wife got me the G6122 Chet Atkins Country Gentleman for Christmas I was so suprised and very pleased the guitar is beautiful and sounds fantistic. The highs are crisp and the lows are great, I couldnt be more pleased. I own several guitars including a 1966 country gentelman I bought it new but this 1959 is the best sound and the best guitar I have ever played. Anyone that loves to play music this is the Holly Grail. I love my 1959 grescth G6122 from the first cord on. Thanks to my wife Pamela for getting for me.

Chet 's 59' guitar

This guitar 6122-1959 Country Gentleman guitar is the best I've ever played on and the best sounding guitar for Chet's style of music I've heard to this day. Thanks to Paul Yaandel for all his work and efforts you to can come close to the the real thing like Chet had and played on for so many years. He used his 6122-1959 for most of all his recordings. It was his BABY! The extra wide 1 3/4 neck is a plus for us fingerpickers. The sound is great with the two TV Jones pickups. SMOOTH! The finish alone will pop your eyes right out. Tiger striped a little bit with a Dark Red Brown finish. Looks to be a Dark Walnut but the light it's Redish Brown. This guitar is well made and solid .Made in Japan it stands up to American made guitars without any problems. Really it is a much better than most American guitars today. Go and see if you can find one and play on it and you will see what I'm talking about for yourself! It ain't cheap and you will see why when you experience playing one. This is everybody's dream if you play real music. Not made for rock at all. Jay B.

Chet's new version of his G6122-1959 guitar

I have a collection of 33 guitars Gibsons, Fender, Gretsch and this 6122-1959 Chet Country Gentleman is the best guitar I ever own. You will love the TV Jones Supertron in the neck postion. Smooth and clean. The Ht is nice and balances it all out. The Finish is Red/Brown in the bright and in darker lighting it looks Walnut Brown. This really is the HOLY GRAIL of all guitars if you play Chet Atkins style of music or Jazz. Not made to rock really that's what the G6120 Brian Setzer model is for. The Gold hardware on the 6122-1959 is a plus in it's self. I love the 1 3/4 neck which is a tad bigger than the G6122-1962 which I own as well. Great axe this one.I LOVE THIS GUITAR. Joe
