Rocked with a Gretsch Duo Jet in the late 60's early 70's. Shifted gears and switched to an Ovation Glen Campbell 12 string in mid 70's and been playing it mic'ed ever since. Wanted something that would work better in a large venue and have more capability. Looked for a Gretsch 6122-12 to try out but that didn't exist so I held my breath and ordered a guitar that I had never even held. Shouldn't have waited, this is the guitar I should have bought when it came out in 2006. Great feel, wonderful sound, excellant finish and workmanship. After trying out numerous amps I chose a Genz Benz Shenandoah 150LT and couldn't be happier with the pair. The only thing I am not thrilled with is the painted on F holes. Just cosmetic but that came as a surprise.
