I was looking at a baby taylor, 3/4 size Martin and then saw these. I got the "way out west" one with spaceships and cowboys. I love the graphics, it's all about fun. I just got mine and it plays pretty well, stays in tune, and is so comfortable to sit on couch and pick away. It seems to be made well, and sounds ok. I just couldn't spend the money on a Martin cowboy, etc. Definately worth the bucks. Have fun and get one.

I purchased the G4530 Americana "Wild West Sweethearts" and was pleasently surprised. I kinda expected a toy but the quality and playability of this little gutar was amazing. I'm very happy with this one and expect to buy the other 3 in this group.

Good for Children

I had a Silver Tone 3/4 scale guitar that I gave to a friend. It was about 45 years old and sounded better then this one. The biggest problem with guitar is the strings though. They come with really light phosphor bronze strings and sounds terrible, and buzzed. I guess it is easy to play and maybe okey for children that way. I know the little Martins and my Silvertone have medium strings. With the short scale lenght you can use heavier strings and still have the feel of lighter strings on a normal size guitar. I tried a couple sets and a set of 80/20 Medium really improved the sound. I used Martin SP.

If you want a woody sounding, yet cheap and sturdy little (Emphasize little) guitar, have at it, ya'll. Kinda reminds me of the old Stella my bassist has, inasmuch as the sound, playability, and manufacturing. Good stuff, but cheap and not for snobs.

Its got a tin-like sound from the small body but it doesn't sound all bad. It has like a black-grey burst going. The americana graphics are just awesome. If you're going to own a cheap guitar I say this is the one. It's kitschy on purpose. I use it as my beach guitar and it's perfect for that. Vulture's beak points to 14th fret - what more do you need?
