The single cutaway Gretsch Guitars Electromatic Pro Jet Electric Guitar recalls the glory days of the early '60s. Back then, Gretsch guitars set the standard for rock, rockabilly, and country guitar. It has a semi-hollow body, arched maple top, mahogany back, set mahogany neck, and a rosewood fretboard. The pickups are Gretsch mini dual-coils, with volume, tone, and 3-way selector. It also features an Adjusto-Matic bridge with G-cutout tailpiece, chromeplated hardware, and a gloss urethane finish. Very cool.

I bought this guitar from this site months and months ago. Keeping that in mind I can give an honest review based on all the use ive been able to get out of this guitar. Let me start by saying the finish, fretwork, setup; its all fantasic which was more than expected. The electronis were sub-standard. The wiring was good enough but the pickups lacked, well, everything. Its hard to find replacements, but I did eventually. Rickenbacker makes the same style pickups, i got some and not the guitar is complete. TV Jones makes most of the Gretsch guitar's pickups, so go to them too; either way. I was looking for a "Dandy Warhols" tone and now I got it. Thanks musicians friend!

Just bought this a month or so ago. After a good setup, it's a wonderful guitar. VERY light and resonant thanks to the extensive internal chambering (not weight-relief holes like in some LPs...but true semi-hollow chambering throughout the interior).

Silver Sparkle finish is really a metallic finish, but it's very nice looking and very well done. Flawless fretwork. Truly an excellent playing and sounding guitar.

The mini-hums sound like they should. Clearer and with more sparkle than typical 'buckers, but with a bit more bottom end then many single-coils. THey're relatively low output, but just crank your amp for some grit.

Hard to fault this much value.

A Fine Guitar

I have owned this guitar for about two years. Whenever I play a gig, people ooh and ahh over the Silver Sparkle finish. Another guitar player tried to buy it off me on the spot. I refused to sell it. Other musicians have remarked on the crystal clear quality of the tone, and the guitar is easily playable. The only flaw is that the tone gets kind of sluggish if you want to play funky scratch riffs.

I bought this guitar on my parent's dime as a brithday gift to myself, and I must say, its the best investment I could have made with that money. This guitar has been a blessing since the day I pulled it out the box. It would be worth more than the price for appearance alone, but the sound is beyond a steal. The great gretsch sound for a reasonable price. I love this guitar. Silver sparkle
