Nylon strings work beautifully on the fretless ebony fingerboard, producing a singing tone that has a lot in common with that of a fretless bass. It's easy to play due to the nylon strings, which respond well to a light touch and are slightly more forgiving than steel strings when it comes to intonation. The chambered mahogany body with a solid spruce top produces impeccable tone. The added possibilities provided by the onboard 13-pin synth access put this guitar over the top.

Reviewer's Play Style: New age classical?

I admit to being skeptical about a fretless nylon sting guitar but it works and works well. Granted this is not for everyone. Frets make intonation easy. It takes awhile to find the correct fingering technique and chords are not easy (triads are doable) but the sounds that you get are well worth the trouble. The built in pickups work well. The guitar is light and the quality is top notch.
