I picked this guitar up at the same time I purchased my American Deluxe Strat. I love the weight, the feel and the simplicity of the Godin. Figured I'd use it in front of my computer and on the bus. And while I love this guitar, I always thought it could be more than what it was, so I swapped out the electronics, changed the pots from 250k to 500k, exchanged the mediocre Godin-designed humberbucker for a Bill Lawrence 500xl --and now I have a snarling tone machine that sounds as heavy as the lovely slab of mahogany that defines it.

This is a great guitar for anyone moving up from a beginner style. I play in a blues band, CCR cover band, a Dead cover band, and occasionally sub for an 80s hair band and have used this for all ofthem. It sounds best high up the neck with the bridge pickup, and sounds like my LP, even if it doesn't play as fast. The neck and fretwork isn't great and can beat up your fingers, and in retrospect I would have gotten a new american strat just for the fingerboard, but when I do, I'll probably still use this for live stuff.

Prob best new guitar & most versatile in it's price range, though

Exit 22 for beginners

- Ive been teaching myself how to play the guitar and since I started I have had some kind of fetish for blocks of wood with strings. This is an excellent guitar, with the 5 pickup tones and easy tune ability this is an excellent ax. I've only been playing for a year and I'm head over heals for such beautiful Canadian craftsman ship. the only thing I wish it had was a bigsby. The body is ugly but very light and comfortable. great s***. Tripp A.

I've had this guitar for about a year and a half, and I gotta say, it's great. This guitar is lightweight and it sounds great. There is however, a couple of minor problems. If you play live or with a drum, the pickups are a little weak and I find that the neck is a little too thin for me. But it's no big deal. One last tip, change the string retainers.

This guitar is one of the best sounding guitars that I have ever played. It has better quality, and more versatility, than other guitars that I have played The neck is also very nice to play on. The only thing that I do not like about this guitar is the body, which is a style that does not work well with how I play. For the price this guitar is an amazing deal.
