The Gibson Sheryl Crow Signature Artist Series Acoustic Guitar has the square-shoulder body-style. A solid-Sitka spruce top; solid mahogany back, sides and neck; rosewood fingerboard and bridge; mother-of-pearl split-parallelogram fretboard inlays; and a mother-of-pearl headstock logo inlay all say artist quality. The tuners are nickel with white buttons. The guitar has an integrated L.R. Baggs Element electronics system, a Hummingbird-style pickguard without the artwork, and Sheryl's signature on the label. An antique lacquer top finish gives this Gibson acoustic guitar a warm honey color, and the sides are stained dark cherry. Gibson includes a hardshell case with the Sheryl Crow Signature guitar.

What can I say about my Sheri. I have many other acoustics both more expensive, and less, but when on stage its my Sheryl Sig that is up there with me. Mostly becuase of the fact of the built in pickup. When plugged in it is the most acurate sounding of my guitars. I own a '69, and a '68 Country Western. You can not duplicate the sound of 40 year old laquer, but the Sheryl Sig comes close, whats better is I know that in 15 or 20 years this reissue will sound better than the originals due to the more advanced scalloping of the internal braces. Yes the one draw back is the tuners, but remember they are duplicating Sheryls original, and thats what the ladies guitar was equipped with.

The most telling thing you can say about this instrument is that Sheryl does not take her original with her on Tour. Rather she and her band bring along about ten of the Signature models. Sheryl has three she plays herself including one tricked out with her name in Mother of Pearl inlayed along the fret board. The other two are straight off the rack Sheryl Sigs. Both Peter Stroud, (Long, Tall, and Proud), her lead player, and Tim Smith (The Mayor of Rock n Roll) her right hand man utility guitarist, both play their own Sheryl Sigs, during concerts as individual songs require. You can't find a more versitile instrument to have on stage with you. Good looks, great sound, nothing to flashy, nor too drab. And after all its a Gibson Country Western!!!!! DIF

What I'm about to write now about this acoustic will not do justice in how exceptional this guitar truly is. I've played all the higher end guitars out there that you can possibly think of, but in my opinion, nothing will match the tonal and visual qualities of this guitar. Let me put it this way...All the Gibson Hummingbirds are by far the only acoustics out there that are able to produce true, full, rich tones...the way all acoustics are supposed to sound. This will blow any martin away as far rhythm, fingerpicking, or fingerstyle type playing. If you've got $2,000 to spend, trust me!, invest in a gibson; you will not be disappointed!

This is not the fanciest guitar Gibson makes but the sound is incredible. I traded in my Marting DG16 GT for this and what a huge difference in tone, esspecially the bottom end and sustain. It is also brighter and frankly made the Martin sound "dead". Gibson isn't the greatest company to do business with but they still make one hec of a quality product. This has just become my main acoustic guitar(I have 4 more). Bottom line is I would buy it again.

This is a great guitar in all areas but the tuners are not up to a 2 thousand dollar guitar. I have 7 Gibsons and the tuners on the sheryl crow are the worst. They could've improved that. The finish is a great yellowing of the binding and cherry type finish and that great pickguard make it very distictive- For a Gibson it sounds almost like a Martin d-28
