Amazing sustain

I have been extremely happy with this guitar. In addition to the beautiful appearance of the natural finish of the guitar, the tonal qualities of the swamp ash are spectacular. I have never heard sustain like this wood produces from a guitar before, its really incredible. You can hit a chord, and it just rings for quite some time. Although I use no distortion and very little effects in my playing, the tone of this guitar was so powerful that I had to reduce the level of effects that I was previously using. Please note that although the picture shown here has no freboard dots, the guitar does have fretboard dots. I highly recommend for this guitar for anybody interested in great tone, incredible sustain and a great guitar. I really love the tone of the swamp ash! In addition, these guitars are made with sustainably harvested wood (rainforest alliance certified) - nice job Gibson!

I am learning guitar and saw this product in Gibson's Nashville store. I immediately loved the natural look and feel. Once I ordered online and received, it exceeded my expectations for ease of play.

This is a quality guitar overall. I own this and I find it to be the best out of all the Gibsons I own. I even find it to be better than the 3 Gold Tops I have. Very good for playing any type of music. I reccomend it to any person who can afford it.

Shame on Gibson & Muscians Friend

Very nice guitar. However I would think Gibson would spend a little time and effort to set the guitar up to at least be playable. The Gibson checklist shows Action and Intonation as having been checked. Maybe someone should have checked again. The nut height is way to high and the intonation is so off no two chords are in tune. Then after a month the center toggle position decided to stop working. It tone is great though. I was looking at a nice used G&L at the local guitar shop for half the price that sounded great and was set up perfectly.

AWESOME LP

Only reason quality is 4.5 is because of the toggle switch, which is a big problem with a lot of gibsons. Sound is unbelievable, with a bit less mids than a reg LP. With 11-50 strings, the highs really shine through, and, when pushed, has an awesome metal low end. The unfinished mahogany neck is unbelievable and only gets better with wear.
