Faded Cherry Mahogany, Chrome Wine Red, Chrome Wine Red, Gold Fireburst, Gold Hardware Black, Chrome Classic White, Chrome Hardware

The arrival of the Gibson Les Paul Studio Electric Guitar in 1983 offered guitarists all the essential elements of a Les Paul Standard, including a carved top and humbucking pickups. Its simple yet elegant design quickly helped it become the most popular model in the Les Paul Series. Cutting-yet-rich tone—the hallmark of the Les Paul—pours out of the 490R and 498T Alnico II magnet humbucker pickups, which are mounted on a carved maple top with a mahogany back. The faded finish models are equipped with BurstBucker Pro pickups and a mahogany top. The Les Paul Studio Electric Guitar includes a Gibson hardshell case (Faded and satin finish models come with a gig bag) and a limited lifetime warranty.

Gibson Les Paul Studio Electric Guitar Features:

  • Carved maple top and mahogany back (Mahogany top on faded finish models)
  • Mahogany neck, '59 Rounded Les Paul
  • Rosewood fingerboard (Ebony on Alpine white)
  • Tune-O-Matic bridge with stopbar
  • Chrome or gold hardware
  • 490R and 498T Alnico 2 magnet humbucker pickups (BurstBucker Pro on faded finish models)
  • 2 volume and 2 tone knobs, 3-way switch

Gibson Les Paul Studio Electric Guitar Includes:

  • Gibson hardshell case (Faded and satin finish models come with gig bag)

Tried this guitar out in a guitar store and instantly fell in love with the way it felt and played. Walked out with the faded cherry finish model which I was skeptical about at first but absolutely love it now. The pickups are good for blues, cleans, and ok for heavy distortion, but not quite there for metal. I replaced them with chrome EMG 81, and 85 to make the perfect guitar for me. It is a very lightweight mahogany with neck-thru body. Great american made guitar.

Ive never really liked the look of a studio. I own a Standard and a Custom. But, one look at the fireburst Studio and I was in love. Then a friend came over with his 2008 wine red studio and I fell in love with the 490 & 498 pickup combo. I did something I would never do and ordered a Studio online at Musicians Friend. I was expecting the worst but the beauty came perfectly set up. It arrived right before band practice so the first time I used it was playing live with the band. It was amazing and really cut thru the mix. The neck is a little chunky but I can get used to that. The ONLY thing I dont like is that the neck finish is a little sticky but im assuming that will go away as I break this beauty in. The pickup combo in this is terrific and I was pleasantly surprised that the setup out of the box was so good. I also like the fact that this is chambered and is so light compared to my other Les Pauls.

This is guitar will blow you away. If you have the money, stop thinking about it. Just buy it. Trust me. I've been a life-long "strat" guy, and this is the first Les Paul I've ever owned. The minute I plugged it in, I knew I found my favorite guitar. Pair this puppy with a nice tube amp and you'll have all the tone you'll ever need. I got the fireburst finish, and it's really, really beautiful--it has to be seen in person to fully appreciate it's magnificence. You're not going to find a better guitar for this price, period.

I'm gonna go head to toe with this thing. Tulip tuners are awesome and look good. Trapezoid inlays look good. Pickups are ok. The sound of the neck pickup is very muddy. The bridge compared to the neck is much better even though it still isn't the best. I suggest Seymour Duncan Blackouts with a gold cover, Seymour Duncan Alnico 2 Pros, or Seymour Duncan Pearly Gates. Personal preferance but all of those are crisp pickups. Any way there is no binding on the guitar to cut the price. The fire burst is ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL so isuggest getting it with that finish. The case is nice and keeps the guitar safe. Since Gibson is so expensive this is a very good alternative for a Les Paul lover. this is a good guitar for any one who is tight on money. Rock on and God Bless!

Ive been playing for about 7 years and this is my first gibson. AFter owning a yamaha and then a fender deluxe mexi strat i can safely say this is my best axe in my arsenal. I purchased the wine red with the gold hardwar. The pictures shown are not really a fair representation of the true beauty of this guitar. You really have to see it in person to get the full effect. Not much wrong with the guitar at all, in fact id say its about perfect. Solid paint job, excellent sustain, and unrivaled power all make this guitar one of the elite.
