Faded Cherry Mahogany, Chrome Wine Red, Chrome Wine Red, Gold Fireburst, Gold Hardware Black, Chrome Classic White, Chrome Hardware

The arrival of the Gibson Les Paul Studio Electric Guitar in 1983 offered guitarists all the essential elements of a Les Paul Standard, including a carved top and humbucking pickups. Its simple yet elegant design quickly helped it become the most popular model in the Les Paul Series. Cutting-yet-rich tone—the hallmark of the Les Paul—pours out of the 490R and 498T Alnico II magnet humbucker pickups, which are mounted on a carved maple top with a mahogany back. The faded finish models are equipped with BurstBucker Pro pickups and a mahogany top. The Les Paul Studio Electric Guitar includes a Gibson hardshell case (Faded and satin finish models come with a gig bag) and a limited lifetime warranty.

Gibson Les Paul Studio Electric Guitar Features:

  • Carved maple top and mahogany back (Mahogany top on faded finish models)
  • Mahogany neck, '59 Rounded Les Paul
  • Rosewood fingerboard (Ebony on Alpine white)
  • Tune-O-Matic bridge with stopbar
  • Chrome or gold hardware
  • 490R and 498T Alnico 2 magnet humbucker pickups (BurstBucker Pro on faded finish models)
  • 2 volume and 2 tone knobs, 3-way switch

Gibson Les Paul Studio Electric Guitar Includes:

  • Gibson hardshell case (Faded and satin finish models come with gig bag).

Why settle for less when you can have a Les?

A Great Guitar for the $$

Good guitar, Honestly though, I had to replace the bridge with a Tone Pros. I also put on Sperzel tuners too. With that said, the guitar sounds awesome, easily the best tone I have ever played. I own Jacksons with EMG's and B.C. Rich's with SD and the Burstbucker Pro's are better!!! I also own the cherry faded SG and i still think this guitar is better. Just my opinion though!! I wasn't that impressed with the stock version though. Be prepared to shell out some extra $$. If you want a guitar set up right from the factory, I would go with a Jackson. Japanese craftmanship is very good.

I have the Satin Ebony Studio and it is great. I think it even sounds better than a Les Paul Traditional. The pickups have a great chunky sound, the neck is fast, and it's just great. The pickups are perfect for punk, hardcore, and even clean sounds. I love the black finish and silver hardware too. The only thing is, the body is very prone to dings and the paint can get scraped off easily, and Gibson won't send you paint or allow you to buy it.

Black is Black

I have the satin black one which is a MF exclusive, special model. It's just a faded one painted black. It's not an opaque finish; you can see the mahogany grain through the clear. The only other difference is the pickups; you get an alnico II in the neck and an alnico V in the bridge (490 pickups, uncovered), not the Burstbucker Pros in the faded series. So if black is your color, and you want the lowest price US made Les Paul, this is for you. Also, all studios are now chambered so they are much lighter and more resonant. The faded series are all mahogany, whereas the other more expensive Studios have maple tops. This exclusive model is supposed to have the best features of both versions; the right color (black); better pickups? (the Burstbucker Pros are alnico V; alnico II in the neck gives you variety and the famous Slash sound (the opening lead to Estranged; all neck); and the best price

Whether you're looking for a lot of guitar for a decent price, or just a Gibson logo for less than a fortune, this guitar will get the job done. It's the nicest guitar I've owned. I own the Faded Cherry model, and despite it's being lighter than most Les Pauls I've played, it delivers the heavy and warm tone that you would expect from a Les Paul. The clean tones are full and vibrant, and driven, this guitar screams. Don't hesitate to buy this.

It feels and sounds so much better than any of the other guitars i played. Get this guitar!!!! You will not be dissapointed.
