The absolute best guitar ever manufactured

In the 10 years I have been playing, I have owned at least 10 guitars and played hundreds more. This guitar is the most amazing guitar you will ever hear. The tone goes from Iron Maiden to Jimmy Page with few adjustments. If you want a guitar that will last you a lifetime, this is it. The only other guitar I will ever purchase will be something that I can beat up on when hanging out or gigging.

So its not a LES PAUL STANDARD.... get passed the shape & the pretty colors. The Burstbucker Pros do all the talkin. A bit less bulky & lighter.... you won't find another Gibson w/ these pickups at this price. Sounds incredible. You won't be sorry.

The best sounding Les Paul of all

I just got my new Les Paul DC plain top today. The sound is the best of ANY new Les Pauls. It seems to offer more precise noting and the drive is less muddy sounding (to me). The clean sounds better than the Standard or Deluxe. Through an old Music Man amp it SINGS! It offers harmonics as easy as pie. I like the two volume/one tone control and the toggle easy to reach. The finish near the neck join is a little rough and there are some light orange peel on the bottom and side of the headstock. I'm considering returning for better finish detail but the sound is SO SWEET!. This particular guitar has great acoustic resonance! The frets are high and crisp. Action needed slight adjustment without problem. This is better than other Double Cuts I have tried and I believe much much better tone than the Standard! I'm still checking this one out but the sound really is great!

Just got mine today and felt compelled to provide a review. Played over 4 hrs in 3 amps. Sounded great in all, but really was phenomenal in my JCM800. I have several guitars, 6 of which are Gibson and I'd yet to find anything that sounded as good as my Les Paul Standard - until this. The guitar arrived as flawless ebony. Played well right out of the case but will still take in for a setup as it needs a few personal tweaks. The neck and fretboard are extremely playable. The burstbucker pro pups are a fantastic match with this guitar. Handles jazzy cleans and full throttle marshall roar while keeping definition. very responsive to volume and tone knob. I've had my eye on this and was thrilled that it is on clearance. fantastic deal! A genuine LP (no "studio" or "worn" tag) for so much less than a Standard. Another one outta the park for Gibson!

Pups A tad Bright BUT WOW !

This is for a Gibson Les Paul Double Cutaway Plain Top in Black with white binding and yellowed looking fret markers. Set up was awesome, pups SCREAM. Ive only tried it through my Genz Benz Diablo 60 with 412 cab so far. However, except for the pups being a tad on the bright side you can expect to be WOWED with Gibson Quality and UNENDING SUSTAIN. Neck is VERY VERY comfortable; i.e. not a log or baseball bat. Hardware, finish, electronics etc etc ALL A+ TOP NOTCH. Worth every nickle of the street price ! Im 57 and isnt my first rodeo or Les Paul. My ONLY gripe is DARN IT WHY NOT OFFER IT IN SUNBURST black is impossible to keep looking nice. Only adjustment may be to tighten the tuner screws.Hard bends allows string slips but it's NEW GTR NEW STRINGS may just need to be stretched. Except for the BLACK ONLY option I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS guitar. I own 14 electrics.
