The Gibson John Lennon J-160E Peace Acoustic-Electric Guitar is replica of Lennon's 1962 J-160E, which he used extensively in films and recordings. The reissue features an antique natural finish, laminated spruce top, ladder-top bracing, a P-90 pickup, authentic wood body binding, and a signature truss rod cover. It perfectly re-creates Lennon's Gibson axe as it appeared during 1969's Bed-In after stripping off the psychedelic paint job he commissioned in 1967. It's historically accurate right down to the strap based on the one John used. The original Gibson guitar is now displayed in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and this re-creation is offered as a limited, numbered edition of 750, each with a Certificate of Authenticity from Gibson.

When I first opened the case I knew this was the start of a new love affair, the smell of the wood, the interior of the retro 60s case, the quality and the general overall appearance. After tuning the sound was exactly correct, this is a must have for any John Lennon fan, the action of the guitar is just as one would expect, perfection, plugged into an amp it transformed into the full electric guitar, this is the perfect guitar, one I will never sell, a keeper forever

I own 12 other guitars, and NONE compare to this one. The tone, the feel, and the look is all perfect. It sounds just like "Give Peace A Chance" when unplugged, and creates beautiful sounds when plugged into a vox valvetronix amp. This is definitely my favorite guitar.
