I owned one of these several years ago and am still kicking myself to this day for having sold her. The exact year model I'm not sure of (mine was Tabacco Burst with a brown case + pink silk inside), but I'm pretty sure the specs were fairly similar to these ones.

Absolutely fantastic, unrivaled tone - still the best sounding guitar I've heard to this very day. Lightweight, fairly thickish neck unfortunately but still good enough for decent speed. The tuners, however, didn't work as well as they should have (maybe it was due to age I'm not sure), but other than that 0 problems whatsoever. Gibson Flying V and Marshall amps = match made in heaven.

I own a 1990 model Gibson V and purchased it in 1998. It is still one of my main guitars simply because it is so fast an sturdy. I've had to make some alterations due to the previous owner but it is definitly a versitile instrument. Incredibly easy to play, sitting or standing. Though I have this one (Ol' Betsy) I've considered getting another Gibson V because of the quality of them. If my 19 year old V can still shred, Just think of what a brand spankin' one can do.

I recieved this guitar as a Birthday...

I recieved this guitar as a Birthday present last summer and I was blown away. Considering how heavy Gibsons usually are, this was as light as a feather. The neck isn't too slim but lighting fast, the paint doesn't affect it in any way. The pickups are great and I have had no problems with the finish or setup. Also this stays in tune for ages. I got this in Classic White which in my opinion is the best color for these guitar, absolutely beautiful. The finish hold up to a lot of abuse, I sometimes accidentally hit this against something but there is a small, tiny dent in the paint but it is barely visibly from really close up. By far this is my favorite guitar I have owned.

My local music store got one of these in, and I tried it just for the heck of it, and I ended up buying it (the story of how I got half of my guitars). This is possibly the most comfortable guitar I own, and I have 6. I normally stick with Dean guitars, but this gibson was irresistable. The weight is like a feather, the neck is just right, and no matter what position your playing in, it's comfortable.

I have an Ibanez, a Les Paul, a ripoff SG, and this, and the Flying V is by far the best. Great pickups, cool shape, nice neck, pretty much everything about this guitar is AWESOME! I got the faded red before they combined the faded colors and glossy ones, but even with the price raise it is still worth MORE than the money. Even the strings it comes with are great, I havent broken any yet.
