The Les Paul is the monster of all guitars and the custom model is the best you can buy. This guitar is played by pro musician's in about every category.It's a little pricey but it's definitely worth the buy. I play a real '77 Heritage Cherry Sunburst as in my dad bought it that year. It's mine now and its 28 years old and nothing has went wrong with it. If you want a great tone get this guitar because nothing compares to it. Once you go Gibson you'll never go back!

The Les Paul Custom is an amazing guitar. While the Les Paul Standard is a nice guitar, it is worth it to spend the extra money to buy the custom. I have looked at many Les Pauls and the quality between a Custom and a Standard cannot be compared. The only bad thing is that it is only offered in a few colors.

When polished and well-loved, this guitar literally stops people in their tracks. With the black custom I swear people of all walks are mesmerized by its sheer beauty. That said, this guitar plays. Typical of Gibsons, you are constantly tuning this thing; but what you play will sound twice as good as any other guitar you could own. It's magical in all ways: cosmetically, sonically & socially. To own one is say you love music and you love beauty.

I've played a lot of brands and a lot of models over the years. I owned a Les Paul Standard about 10 years ago and sold it to get out of a money rut. Now I'm back with a Les Paul Custom and don't know what's taken me so long. My Ibanez and Fender rarely see the light of day anymore. The sound is superior to anything out there and the playability is incredible. It sounds wierd but this guitar will make you a better player! Riffs and runs that I have problems with on other guitars seem to flow through my fingertips with ease on this guitar. I can't account for why this is but it's true!
