When les paul died (tear) someone i know bought this guitar in his honor. It is absolutely amazing. The first thing I noticed was that the binding and inlays were not the obnoxious cream color of vos bb or epiphones. it was pure white and gorgeous. The silver hardware just makes it look so pure. I always prefered it over gold. The action on the guitar is just perfect and the slim neck is pretty comfortable for a slim neck and very fast if you need it to be. This is a particular gibson where they just plain don't screw it up. Some people worry about quality control for Gibson, but don't worry about it on this guitar. The pickups sounded fantastic for everything. I played acdc and everything else. It just sounds good no matter what to me. NO muddyness. Overall, it's a beautiful guitar with no flaws and sounds fantastic. If you do consider this guitar, make sure you already have a Good amp for this guitar. That decision you'll have to make on your own.

Just got this guitar yesterday 3/6/09. Plays like an absolute dream. I've got an '82 custom that I love, but I just wanted a little something new. The action is fast, tones are deep and earthy. When I use distortion, it's got a thick heavy chunky yet smooth sound. When playing clean, it's still thick but the highs come through unblemished and beautiful. Love this guitar and couldn't put it down. Thanks Gibson for an well crafted guitar.
