This reminds me of a gig I did back in the day.

So the Band shows up to the venue, and we start to set up the equipment. The sound guy was real nice, and he let us dial in our sounds real good that night. So, while I'm doing the soundcheck my Firebird takes a dump on me. My main guitar was a 3-pickup job, and I figured I needed at least the neck pickup to make the sound go off right. My sister had a Les Paul special she bought off a guy around a week ago, the P-90 job with the wraparound bridge. " Does this thing work?" I asked her (it was pretty ragged looking). She said it screamed and I decided to use that for the show. I use 100-watt Marshall Plexi's, and this axe just absolutley tore from my speaker cones. every note was perfectly formed, as if beamed down from heaven by God himself. It cleaned right up when I needed to roll it down. The show was a hit, the axe made a believer out of me, and the firebird just collects dust now.

A lot of people have copied Gibsons, and some are nice guitars, but there is only one Les Paul! This one is very well made and looks great! Mine is red and it plays and sounds so smooth! The "REAL" P-90's deliver so much clear, warm tone and sustain you won't believe your ears! Buy one and enjoy!

I acquired my guitar used at a shop in NC. I have to say that this is the guitar for me. It's lightweight, plays fantastic, and does everyhting I want it to do. I plug into my Bassman and away I go. I have so many people asking me where I get my tone from, and I just tell them gibson. Best guitar out there. period. no debate.
