Killer playing guitar. Perfect setup out of the box. Plays like a dream. Screaming p90's Finish is very accurate. Wonderful playing and sounding guitar.

I grew up worshiping this guitar. I picked it up NYC shortly after it came out. originally I loved the tone (or was it the Bogner Shiva?). I got it home and when I began to loosen up and really start playing, strings started snapping. The reason was the ends on the bridge were very rough and cut when an whole tone bend on the high E was attempted. As a result I began to not trust the instrument and started reaching for other guitars, my fix will be a tone pros bridge. The tone controls are useless they go from clear to mud with little in between. I really wanted to love this guitar and it is a lot of money for a reissue of an "entry level" style Gibson that I will have to spend more money on to make playable. On a good day the tone is great, but for over $2K there are much better guitars albeit without the nostalgia.

I sold my 1960 double cut in 1979 (please feel free to kick me, thank you). Everybody knows about the screamin' lead sound, but try this - bridge PU volume on 7, neck on 3, (tones full)- best acoustic guitar sound I've ever heard. I sure miss mine!

This guitar is one of the greateset i own. The p-90s scream like crazy is perfect if you want an angus/jimmy P sound. And oh yeah. This thing rocks the blues.
