The Les Paul Junior, introduced in 1954, was the economy Les Paul model. With its no-nonsense look, a single P-90 pickup, and a price of $49.50 it was an instant hit. The Junior remained a single-cutaway guitar through 1957. In 1958, Gibson changed the Junior's body shape, adding a double-cutaway version while continuing the popular single-cutaway model.

Like all VOS (Vintage Original Spec) Series instruments, the 1957 Les Paul Junior Single Cutaway VOS is handcrafted for comfort and playability in the Gibson Custom Shop. The construction, neck profile, hardware, and electronics are period accurate, and a special nitrocellulose finish treatment gives it the patina of a gently aged vintage guitar. Includes Gibson Custom Shop case and a certificate of authenticity.

Possibly one of the nicest guitars I've ever owned. It plays like a dream, sounds like a dream, and the fit and finish are just bloody wonderful. I love the sound of p-90s and this one delivers in spades. the slim neck overcomes the traditional gibson ballbat feel and with my vintage all-tube signal path helps me to recreate some of the most famous tones in rock n' roll history. Great looks, great tone, great feel, its definitely a keeper.

Out of all the LPs and LP Jr. Style guitars I own...all of them being real Gibson (8+ at last count); this one is up there with the best. I'd actually say it's better than my 50s Jr. The fit and finish are perfect....unlike my regular custom shop Jr. that the fret work is a total mess. This one feels great. Also the little things like the pick guard are perfect; the screws are screwed in straight. This all can't be said of the Custom Shop Jr. I have that is supposedly 500+ more expensive than this one. The sound of this one is amazing. Just what you'd expect a Jr. to sound like. Like I said about the other one, they beg to be played and make you want to play them. I'd say that this guitar might be the desert island electric. Mine is the TV White which is the coolest color ever. Love it. I want another.

My first buy from Gibson´s Custom Shop. I am absolutely amazed by the quality. The finish and action is SUPERB! It was in tune when I picked it out of the box and it is still in tune after one weeks playing. This is by far the best guitar in my collection.
