Back Close Angle

In a tribute to his scorching riffs and remarkable stage presence, Gibson honors one of heavy metal's premier lead guitarists with the Zakk Wylde Signature Les Paul Electric Guitar. It features Wylde's trademark black-and-antique-white bull's-eye graphics; powerful EMG humbucking pickups (an 81 and 85); and an oiled, raw maple neck. The Les Paul body has a 1-piece mahogany back with carved maple top; an ebony fretboard with pearl block inlay; gold hardware including an engraved gold truss-rod cover with Zakk Wylde logo; multi-ply binding on top, back, neck, and peghead. A gorgeous guitar and capable of doing serious sonic damage. Gibson includes a hardshell case with the Custom Shop Zakk Wylde Les Paul Guitar.

This aged edition is an extreme rarity. One of only 50 to be made by the Gibson Custom Shop, it features every chip and dent you'd find on Zakk's legedary #1 Les Paul custom. Received as a graduation gift from his parents, the guitar was lost to him for years after being stolen. A fan discovered it in a Texas pawn shop and arranged it's return. Even the gold hardware is tarnished and pitted to look just like the original. You'll find it plays with the same power and tone as Zakk Wylde's amazing axe as well. A true collector's item.

A Pricey, But GREAT Les Paul!

I played a few of these since they came out way back about 6 or so years ago, and they were not dogs, not a one. I JUST FOUND an Aged Zakk model, and given that these are still expensive USED, I say if you can afford it, well, it's a definite collector's item, and EVEN BETTER TO PLAY! There is only one other Les Paul in sound that comes close; the 68 VOS for me...But FEEL? Only this. Try it, and see.

This is an exceptional guitar. Anyone who has enough skill in music will see you arent paying for a guitar you are paying for a different style as well. The Zakk Wylde gibson is extremely responsive if you like to push your playing to its absolute limit this is the guitar that will get you there and back. Love it!

Great Sounding Highly Overpriced

This is a nice sounding guitar, but I've experienced the same sound and playability with a $1,000 to $2,000 guitar also. Both Les Paul and PRS are putting out so called "limited edition custom shop" guitars and adding $5,000 to the price tag. I own a couple true custom guitars. I picked out the wood (better wood than PRS or Les Paul uses), the pick ups, the inlays (I designed), the color, etc- that's a true custom shop guitar! I've owned Les Pauls, Fenders (still own), PRS (still own), and my $3,000 custom shop guitars blow them all away. If you're a collector, have money to burn, and are a Zakk enthusiast then buy it- anyone else should look elsewhere. I don't feel it's even that much of a collector's item. I predict the value will go down- not up- after you purchase this guitar.

Yes after reading 57 BAD reviews from people who have never even touched one of these, let alone own one; I decided to tell you: IF YOU CAN AFFORD THIS GUITAR..BUY IT! Why? Because it is an actual limited edition Zakk Wylde piece and It is the highest quality of ALL Zakk Wylde pieces! It is a great investment as both a fan and collector!
