Bought my Legacy and had never played one before. I researched them a lot on the web, and this was the first guitar I bought without playing it. I am glad I did. These guitars are so well made they are incredible. I just needed some light action adjustments, move the pickups a little and is screams. Its playability is out of this world and easily rivals the PRS I have. Great guitar

The sound, playability, and reputation of this guitar are all remarkable. It's solid, well-built, and very eye-catching (mine is sunburst with a gun-oil tint maple neck). I have a 40th anniversary Fender strat and a mid 80's Tele and I prefer my G&L to those any day. It's difficult to explain the tonal possibilities of this guitar unless you play it. Unlike my Fender, I get great, unique, and different sounds out of each of the 5-positions on the switch. Positions 2 & 4 blow my other guitars away. This guitar is first class and professional all the way.

I've owned an American Strat and this G&L just blows it away. I played it for about an hour at a guitar shop and ordered it on the spot. I have 6 more weeks for it to come in. Making it to my specs. Rock On!

I've own my Legacy for two years, and it's the best guitar I've ever owned. I've got a 91' Fender Strat which is really nice, but still doesn't beat the G & L. Also, to Gibson Les Paul's and an SG, which are also good guitars, but don't beat the Legacy. G & L, is the Strat, that Leo Fender wanted to build at Fender, and couldn't at the time. By one, you won't be disappointed.

Don't even look at any other guitar if you have the money for this one. I have it in honey burst finish. It is amazing. The trem is extremely smooth and it stays in tune forever. The neck is the most comfortable neck I have ever played on and the jumbo frets let me slide all over the neck. The tone knobs dial in the bass and the treble for each pickup, depending on which is selected. The only problem is if the trem is too loose the springs will pop off when you bend up, even when it is set up according to the manual. Amazing guitar.
