Precise tonal control on a 2-channel overdrive.

Housed in a beautiful, powdercoated blue 16-gauge steel enclosure, the Fulltone Ful-Drive 2 pedal is capable of everything from clean boost to raw, non-compressed overdrive via its two switchable channels. With Volume, Tone, Overdrive, and Boost knobs along with toggle switches for selecting Vintage/CompCut modes and MOSFET/Standard overdrive styles.

MOSFET and Standard modes each deliver their own clipping style, with the MOSFET adding more bottom end and roundness to the sound. The pedal's Tone knob is an effective presence control that can smooth out or add upper harmonics. Vintage mode provides a traditional midrange bump.

The second, footswitchable Boost channel, with its own separate distortion control, is perfect for medium- to higher-gain overdrive with a more singing, violin-like sustain.

This is the best overdrive pedal i've ever used! It's not annoying what so ever. Just the right amount of overdrive. Perfect if you play classical rock.

This pedal is as nice an OD pedal as I've ever tried. The tone can go from tinkly to hard and in between. I particularly like the boost feature for soloing. It may be a bit pricy, and it won't make you a metal monster. If you're looking for good overdrive for a rockin' or blues sound, this is the best pedal for your needs.

Not much to say here except, this has got to be the best distortion box ever! I've tried quite a few and this one surpasses them all. True hard wire bypass, silent function and very wide range of distortions. Worth every penny!

I don't even want to call it an effect pedal, I want to call it more like an answered prayer!! The FD2 is simply amazing. Having been at this for over 10 years and wasting hundreds of bucks on mediocre overdrives, I've finally found what I've been missing in the FD2. I run my Strat through it in vintage mode with the MOSFET switch in standard. This makes gives a very Stevie Ray Vaughan texas blues midrangy sound. That isn't where this thing ends, it can produce whatever Overdrive sound you want to achieve. Kinda pricey, but hey you get what you pay for, and this thing is WAY worth it. Save up the green, get it, and you won't be sorry!!

I have had my fulltone fulldrive for about a year now and am still finding sounds from it. It is built with quality and is well worth the money. I also own a choralflange which has been discontinued but is a fantastic pedal. The problem I have with fulltone is that if one of their pedals malfunction, you should be prepared to wait a significant amount of time before it gets fixed under warranty. First, you cannot speak to someone in person but can only email a request for a covered repair. And then you wait. And from my experience, the retailer from which I purchased the choralflange could only do the same: email and wait. So if you are willing to make a purchase under the following conditions, I say go for it. I do not know if it would be different purchasing from MF, but it is something to consider. Musicians Friend have the reputation of backing up their sales and I plan to purchase another Fulltone pedal in the future and it makes sense to me to go with MF because of their return policy.
