In my opinion the "70" is definately among the best silicon FuzzFace pedals ever built. It will do everything the original did tonally, and as a bonus gives you the option of even more gain along with a "mids" knob to help cut through the mix when needed. There is also a trim pot inside for a looser or tighter feel. For a Silicon Fuzz it also cleans up very well and with the "gain" set at 2:30 o'clock it will go from sparkly clean to singing sustaining fuzz between "8" and "10" on my Strats volume knob. Yes, Hendrix and Eric Johnson, early Pink Floyd, etc. Fuzz tones this versatile classic blue "70" is capable of . I primarily use the "70" with my Strats into Fender and Carvin amps, although, on occasions have used it with several other backline amps. The added "mids" knob can also really help tweak this pedal to sound right with a variety of amps.
