A stylish low profile cabinet with a front loaded design, wide dispersion, and tight low-end .

The FatBottom FB412-P50E is a semi-traditional style 4X12 cabinet with a slightly angled baffle, featuring Mono-Stereo input capability and selectable 4 or 16 ohm impedance in mono mode and 8 ohm/channel in stereo mode. Plug in casters included. The FB412-P50E is available in both straight or slant cabinet configurations.

FatBottom Series Speaker systems feature high-quality Baltic birch materials, manufactured on CNC (computer numerical control) cutting equipment for accurate assembly and bullet-proof construction. The Fryette Designed, Eminence made, 50 Watt 12 inch speakers are front mounted for wide dispersion. Front mounting the speakers also allow for a well sealed enclosure with virtually no air leaks, producing a tight focused low end quality, extended projection and excellent power handling capacity.

Mine still has the old VHT logo on the front, but my late 2008 cab is the same in every other regard. Feature-wise, it's a speaker cab with a mono/stereo switch. Not a whole lot to it.

I absolutely love this cabinet. It is crisp, loud and deep. Put an amp on top that doesn't get muddy in the low end, turn it up and hit that low string. It's like flying off a motorcycle at 50MPH and slamming into a redwood. This cab will hit hard and move some serious air.

After a bit of break-in the high end will smooth out a little bit but it packs plenty of bite with a nice off-axis dispersion of high frequencies that is quite useful to familiarize yourself with for mic'ing in the studio or on stage.

It's big and heavy; built like a tank. I've had no problems with it even after dragging it on tour in a trailer across a few states. It survived the circus of load in/load out at SXSW and the abuse of many long rehearsal sessions.

To me this cab responds with much more body and nuance than others but maybe that's because I've used it almost exclusively with a Pittbull on top which has a very distinct percussive feel to playing, but I have done a few tests and felt some of the low midrange was better articulated with other amps through this cab than others.

It is a bit pricey, but if you can afford it, it's a solid cab that won't disappoint. The head that I bought with it I can't say the same for, but this cab will be staying in my collection. I love the sound of those P50E's and if this was stolen I'd absolutely buy another to replace it.
