The return of a fuzz legend.

The original Foxx Tone Machine guitar effects unit came out in 1971 and was made for only a few years, but its fat-backed, fuzzed-out sound has made it a coveted piece ever since. It has been a favorite of such guitarists as Peter Frampton and Adrian Belew, and it has shaped the sound of bands from Parliament/Funkadelic to Nine Inch Nails. Now it is back, with perfectly replicated analog circuitry. Assembled in the USA, the Tone Machine's controls include volume, sustain, and and Mellow/Bright fuzz tone knobs, and an octave/sustain switch. Operates on one 9-volt battery.

if you're on a smaller budget you can purchase the Danelectro French Toast pedal. The inventor of the Foxx Tone Machine is the current president of Danelectro and he has replicated the circuit in that pedal. Unfortunately, it doesn't look as nice or come in all the fancy colors. It may also require some modifications to be true, I have not compared the circuits.

Greatest Fuzz Ever!

For a bassist, this is the ONLY fuzz to buy. Set very mellow, it creates a tube screamer sort of tone. Set high, it becomes a Shin Ei Companion. Plus it has a huge range of tones in between. Any instrument sounds amazing through this furry monster. It is expensive, but you get what you pay for.

I Had A "Foxx" Back In The 70's.Through Years Of Moving,I Lost It.I've Been Looking For One Since.It FINALLY Came Out Again.The Fuzz Is Outragious,and The Octave is The True Note And The Octave Above.That "Hendrix"Sound.A very Sturdy and Dependable Box.Once You Play It, You'll Wonder How You Ever Got Along Without It.

I heard a guy use this thing at the music store and it sounded crazy! The octave setting is ridiculous. The guy started playing Purple Haze and some White stripes stuff, and recreated those sounds amazingly. Its an incredible pedal, but I gave it a 3.5 on value, because I thought it was a bit spendy, but definitly worth it.
