The Fishman Loudbox 100 Acoustic Guitar Amplifier features 100W, 2 channels, dedicated drivers, and weighs less than 25 lbs. It's a superbly portable acoustic instrument amplifier for the active musician. The secret to the Loudbox 100's sound lies in its 2 power amps and 2-way speaker system. This powerful combination results in higher sound pressure levels and cleaner acoustic tones, watt-for-watt, than comparable acoustic amps.

With all the features a gigging performer demands, this amp meets a variety of needs. Three bands of EQ with feedback-fighting controls give you incredible control over your tone.

You'll find this lightweight and compact amp is as comfortable in your home studio as it is on stage. It easily passes the "one-trip" test, for those times you carry both your instrument and your amp to the car or into the club.

The 2-channel Loudbox 100 brings together a wish list of the essential features you've been looking for. The front panel includes inputs for acoustic instruments, an XLR microphone and a CD player or drum machine. Dual EQ sections include bass, midrange and treble controls for easy, effective tone shaping. Vanquishing troublesome acoustic feedback is simple with independent anti-feedback filters and phase switches for each channel.

Also included are 5 digital effects you can really use: two halls, two plates, and a smooth chorus. A convenient mute switch keeps things quiet when you tune up or take a break. The Loudbox 100 also features a headphone jack for silent jamming or practicing.

On the rear panel, good things come in threes with D.I.s for channels 1 & 2, plus a third summed Mix-D.I. output (watch your soundperson smile). For pedal-heads, each channel has its own effects loop, a tuner out (Ch.1) and a 1/4" jack for a remote mute switch. With the Loudbox 100 on the floor, the speaker's ten-degree tilt-back angle helps to project your sound up to ear level. So what are you waiting for? Grab your guitar and your Loudbox 100 and go out and make some music!

small & mighty - like a swiss army knife

I've done over a dozen gigs with this amp in the last month - Indoor, outdoor, wineries, clubs, receptions for 300 people, It's by far the best acoustic guitar/vocal amp I've ever used - I also own a Bose "Stick" PA, Kustom Sienna 65, a full PA with wedge monitors, and I've played thru the Fender & Marshall acoustic amps. This Loudbox 100 replaced them all - Better, clearer sound, no compromises - A surprising amount of Bass. I can plug a Line 6 Pocket-Pod into the Aux in, and use an A/B box with my Variax guitar to switch between acoustic & electric guitar sounds - Huge gig versatility in a "one-trip" set-up. For all of my acoustic guitars, I use Fishman Matrix pick-ups, and this amp retains the individual sound quality of each guitar, it just makes it louder. The EFX are minimal but useful. The Direct out options are perfect - If it's a larger gig, I do my own mix of vocals & guitar, with a touch of reverb, and send a single output to the soundman - I can use my amp as a monitor - Very well thought out. I've never had the volume up past halfway, it's got plenty of headroom. All in all, a pleasure to use - It's not cheap , but it's already paid for itself several times over, and it's the only amp I'll ever need... I wish the power switch was on the front panel instead of the back, but it's the only complaint I can think of, seriously -

I bought this amp on the recommendation of a couple of fellow musicians. I love the features, this thing gets so loud! It will give you a warm and rich tone, while the effects are top notch. I use this amp for acoustic steel string guitar and mandolin. The two channel set up makes it ideal to leave both instruments hooked up on stage. I also use it during rehearsals for vocals; so we don't have to drag out our big PA. Built like a tank, this is a must have for any acoustic instrument player's rig.

The amp pops and does a power cycle. Fishman sent me a replacement head (refurbished) and that didn't fix it. So there are some issues with mine though it does sound great when not doing the whole power cycle thing.

Fishman support is superb though and easy to work with. They are wanting to to help are very responsive.

I researched my purchase for over six months before finally deciding on this amp. This thing is unlike anything you've ever seen in such a small package. Forget the Feder Accoustasonics (which were my first choice) and forget about a small PA. This is all you need unless you're going to play a cathedral! Amazing clarity. Clear and clean from the bottom up. More power than you would expect from such a small package. A little pricey, OK, but worth every penny. Only time will tell the dependability factor, but this thing is built like a tank. It is sturdy, trust me. Do yourself a favor, save time and frustration and buy this amp.

Best amp in this price range

I will make this real simple. I played all the acoustic amps at the local music store in the price range. Kustom, Fender, Crate, Roland and I know I am missing an amp or two. This amp just out performed all others for around the same price and it was not even close. I own a variety of acoustic guitars and with a little tweaking I can't get exactly the sound I am lookin for out of this amp. It is plenty loud. I have not fooled around much with special effects so I can't really comment on that feature. However, I am very, very happy with this amp. If I had one little complaint, it would be that power switch is in back. Not convenient as I have this on an Amp stand and it is awkward reaching around. I think Fishman just makes terrific acoustic amplification products and this amp is evidence of that.
