The best DI I've had, very handy features. The Aura software is great, but you'll need to fiddle with it to find the right image to match your guitar or it can sound wonky. I downloaded a couple of new images, which wasn't too hard, even though I don't usually do that kind of thing. Works equally well for my Martin, Taylor, and Breedlove, in band or solo situations. Worth the money, I recommended it if you really need to sound good live. I prefer a mic in the studio, but the Aura Spectrum works well in a pinch.

I bought this D.I., mostly because I have struggled to get a good "direct" sound for my National, Model D, Square neck, but will be using it for my Acoustic Guitars too. I was immediately, blown away by it's solid construction and it's "plug in and play" ease of use. Am able to get great sounds for my resonator and Bougeouis OM and Gibson J-200 as well. The built in Tuner, Compressor and Anti-Feedback are a major +!!!

I purchased the Spectrum about 2 months ago and have had the chance to play it both live and in a recording studio plugging in a Breedlove Pro Series. I was very impressed with this new item in both venues. The tone control was great and I love that it has a tuner and the compressor is awesome. The only problem I have with it is that the images seem to be very high pitched and tinny sounding(for lack of a better word) though I have not taken advantage of the downloads. This could be my lack of experience with the box. I recommend only about 30 to 40% to get the best sound depending on the tone of the instrument itself. Overall this thing is very cool and much lighter than my amp to pack around.
