The Aura Jumbo acoustic guitar Imaging Pedal uses Fishman's exclusive Aura Acoustic Imaging Technology in a familiar effects pedal format, finally allowing acoustic guitarists to easily and accurately reproduce the sound of their instrument as miked in a professional studio.

Easy to set up and use, Aura pedals eliminate intrusive stage noise and expensive microphone setups, allowing guitarists to achieve incredible recordings at home or in any live performance setting. Designed for use with guitars featuring undersaddle or magnetic soundhole pickups, this Aura Jumbo Pedal is specifically designed for use with for large body flat top acoustic guitars.

The Aura Imaging pedal features 16 Images, selected from their vast online library to cover a wide range of the most popular acoustic guitar models. A deliberately simple and intuitive control set offers Volume, Blend, and Phase allowing simple operation at home or on stage.

Aura uses digital algorithms, developed in Fishman's audio labs, to create an image of the natural sound that microphones capture in a professional studio. This Image, when played through an amp, mixer, or PA, blends with your instrument's pickup to produce an immediate and dramatic improvement in your amplified sound.

For the highest audio quality, the Aura Acoustic Imaging Pedal features 24-bit A/D D/A and 32-bit internal processing, and runs on a 9V battery or AC power adapter.

The Fishman Aura Imaging Pedal looks great, too. It features the look of brushed steel top and bottom, and a black center section where the jacks are located.

Not too impressed

This might work well for cheap guitars, but using it with a Taylor 815, A Rainsong Jumbo and a Mid-level Breedlove, it made the sound worse in my opinion. It added a sort of synthetic element that I found detracting from the natural sound of the guitars. Built well and simple to use, but not for me. I'm returning it.

16 Distinct Sounds - All Great!!

Greetings, I was tentative in deciding to pay so much for an Acoustic Imaging Pedal ... now I will never let this pedal out of my hands! I play a Gibson J-185 EC (aka Blues King). This pedal responds wonderfully with the Fishman Prefix system that is on board. I set the guitar so the Bass, Treble and Contour controls are Flat. I put the frequency in the middle and the Volume at 3:00. Then I control my sound through the Fishman Aura pedal running into the sound-board or recording interface. The results are spectacular! Fishman deliberately left out information on what each of the 16 positions relates to; but I can tell you they are all usable for everything from heavy strumming to finger-picking. My impression is the 1-7 positions are close mic'd and work well for strumming. Finger-picking sounds great for positions 8-12. Then 13-16 sound as if they are mic'd from a distance. One of my favorite settings is #13 which I call my Juke-Joint sound. Bright, crisp with a roomy feel.

Only when you turn the pedal off do you realize how much depth it adds to your sound. For all the colors it provides and quality with which it is built I highly recommend the Fishman Aura Jumbo

First, the negatives: Didnt come with the instrunction manual, took awhile to set up. The set up was aggravating in that you have to set the trim to maximize your pickup. If you have eq on your guitar, set it flat or else you'll wonder why the pedal isnt picking up your guitar in the clip/batt light. After that you can still adjust the eq on your pickup. I own a Gibson J-185EC and fender acoustasonic pro. I can speak for myself that I found several good images. One image I will for sure use all the time, warm/sweet/smooth. It's ear candy. Theres no use switching between images live, as phase settings will change on you. All in all, it's worth it if you play live, especially solo.
