The Aura Dreadnought acoustic guitar Imaging Pedal uses Fishman's exclusive Aura Acoustic Imaging Technology in a familiar effects pedal format, finally allowing acoustic guitarists to easily and accurately reproduce the sound of their instrument as miked in a professional studio.

Easy to set up and use, Aura pedals eliminate intrusive stage noise and expensive microphone setups, allowing guitarists to achieve incredible recordings at home or in any live performance setting. Designed for use with guitars featuring undersaddle or magnetic soundhole pickups, this Aura Dreadnought Pedal is specifically designed for use with standard flat top and full size acoustic guitars.

The Aura Imaging pedal features 16 Images, selected from their vast online library to cover a wide range of the most popular acoustic guitar models. A deliberately simple and intuitive control set offers Volume, Blend, and Phase allowing simple operation at home or on stage.

Aura uses digital algorithms, developed in Fishman's audio labs, to create an image of the natural sound that microphones capture in a professional studio. This Image, when played through an amp, mixer, or PA, blends with your instrument's pickup to produce an immediate and dramatic improvement in your amplified sound.

For the highest audio quality, the Aura Acoustic Imaging Pedal features 24-bit A/D D/A and 32-bit internal processing, and runs on a 9V battery or AC power adapter.

The Fishman Aura Imaging Pedal looks great, too. It features the look of brushed steel top and bottom, and a black center section where the jacks are located.

Neat, but unnecessary

Excellent build quality. Very sturdy and tough. 16 presets - Preset #13 is the only one w/ a genuine usable acoustic tone and is a very good tone. The rest can be achieved w/ a cheaper EQ pedal. Very simple to use but not worth the price. Paying for a name IMO. It's going back.

AURA IS A GODSEND

Let me put this as simple as I can, The AURA is fantastic. I have been performing acoustic music for 7 years. Played over a 1000 gigs, and done live sound for many of the best acoustic players in the world. I say all to point out that I have spent a ton of time listening to, and working to acheive a good live acoustic guitar sound. Leo Kotke, Michael Gulezian, Willie Porter, David Wilcox, ect... have all brought really cool and complex, rigs to the stage and their guitars sound good. That being said I have never heard a guitar rig sound like an actual acoustic guitar. That is what the AURA does, it makes your plugged in acoustic guitar sound like an unplugged acoustic guitar. If you have gigged out enough, and you have ears, you know how hard that simple goal can be to acheive. Until now it has been an impossibilty for me. I have a highlander pick up in a Northwood Mini Jumbo, and a Larrivee Dreadnought with the same pick up. I also have Sunrise magnetic on both guitars. The AURA worked wonders on both guitars. I have a very chunky, percussive, style. Playing through the AURA I could actually FEEL the guitar. My body immediately changed its posture and movement when I played through the AURA. I felt like I was actually playing an acoustic guitar. That may sound dumb to some of you, but for me it's an amazing this to plug in and FEEL like I'm playing unplugged. Fishman deserves MAJOR kudos for this technology.

In all the gear I used over the years (lots) I have only written about two pieces. The D BOX from Dangerous Music, and The AURA. So thanks to FISHMAN for changing the way I feel and play live acoustically. You guys Rock.

won't do anymore gig without it

This product(fishman aura dreadnought acoustic imaging pedal) is truely great. It worked with my dreadnoughts and my small bodied guitars as well. During gigs, I use it with a direct box (carvin)which has both XLR and standard 1/4 inch outputs. I then plug both outputs to the P.A. to have a stereo effect. Unlike the LRBaggs or SansAmp Para DI's, with this product you don't have to worry about setting the EQ's. Just plug it in, select your favorite preset image, and play. I would not do anymore gig without it. Thanks fishman!!! B.T.W. I also use fishman matrix undersaddle pickups in all my guitars.

Gets rid of peizo quack!

This thing gets rid of the "rubberband spanglish" so typical and irritating with acoustic pickups. It's not *quite* as good as proper studio condenser mics, but pretty dang close, very recordable, and convenient as all getout when you just want to plug into something. A bit pricey, but once you start using it, you sure won't be sorry you bought it. I use it on a Gibson J-185 EC and a '98 Ovation Collectors Series, and it works great on both.
