Top quality Fender amp

I'm running a mahogany strat deluxe and an ES-137 Custom through this. The Bassman circuit is thick as a brick while retaining plenty of sparkle - kicks butt for blues, rock, country. The Vibrolux side is squeaky clean and sounds raw until you get it on stage where it shines on clean funk rhythm chops or Tele lines. Both circuits have the nicest hint of compression and breakup past 2.5 on gain (which is loud). I've heard complaints the bassman/vibro volumes aren't balanced but that works for me - the vibro cuts where the bassman punches. The burn channel really burns - I don't carry a pedal for full saturation any more. Only thing I don't use this amp for is solo jazz - it's very focussed, but doesn't have a real deep low end.

Let me start off by saying I don't own this. What I do own is a Peavey Classic 50 (great amp) ... useless info. Anyway the clean channel/s are nice sounding ... kind of. Its that typical fender clean crap. No real personality, just ultra clean. Sorry I'm an EL-84 clean channel kind of guy. However the burn channel is pretty much the most epic channel I have ever heard. The two gain knobs complement each other. It surpasses any drive channel I ever heard. I'm not kidding. I love my Classic 50 but I might be inclined to sell it to buy a super sonic.

Best amp on earth, period!

I have been playing for 33 years and in all styles that you can imagine. The Fender Super-Sonic is simply the besdt all tube amp ever made, period. I have SF twin, BF Deluxe reverb, BF super-reverb reissue, 59 bassman reissue, dual showman, and the Super-Sonic holds it with all of the classic amps. The versatility of the Burn channel is what makes it even better than those classic amps. The Bassman channel with a touch of reverb sounds so friggin good, it's unbeleivable. It makes my grand son's Squier sounds like my custom shop strat !!!! The Vibrolux Channel sounds very good past 2 on the volume, and actually, I find myself playing on the Vibrolux channel more than the Bassman because I am a big fan of quack position 2 & 4 on the strat. I have changed the tube in V3 for the BUrn to tame it down and give me more of thatr Keith Richards crunch. This amp is highly-highly-highly recommend it if you can afford it. It will take a few years, but this amp will become a classic just like the above mentionned amps

This is the best little amp i've ever heard.I ran up on one of these in guitar center and didn't expect it to blow me away, but after playing through it i had to have it.I ended up trading my Clapton Strat for it.First the clean tones of the Vibrolux and Bassman channel is really sweet. The vibe sounds really bright and snappy and the b-man is full bodied and perfect for blues. The cool thing is,it really sounds like a Vibrolux and Bassman. The burn channel is versatile. You can get heavy distortion or just a little grit or big sustain that is very Eric Johnson like.I really favor the clean side of the amp because it just has that old Fender tube tone. The footswitch is also very useful. You can use it to switch channels of coarse but you can also use it for a volume boost by putting a patch cable in the back of the amps send and return jacks. The only thing i could say bad about this amp is that the reverb feeds back when turned up past 7 or 8.I would also like to have vibrato on deck too.Two speakers would also be nice but this amp is really loud to only be a single twelve. The Celestion is a great speaker thou.Sounds beautiful. For a small 112 amp this is my number one choice. If you love Fenders clean tone and need an amp with super overdrive then this is the amp for you.

Perfectly decent

I was looking at this thing when I discovered I had to up my wattages to play with the band I had recently joined. I was not real impressed with this amp. It does a whole lot, that's for sure, and the clean channel is a touch above some others, but, like most "do-it-all" gear, it is just decent in all categories. I prefer to get a very dynamic, touch responsive amp with a good clean sound, then add overdrives for grind. It seems like the simple, low-knob-count amps have the purest tone, as most boutique amp crafters have found. Get a great clean/slightly dirty tone out of those, then drop a great overdrive in front of it. Tone heaven
