This is one awesome guitar. I got a limited edition navy blue finsish one, but is the same otherwise. It doesn't have as much of a distortion as my Fat Strat, but that doesn't make it better or worse(there really isn't such thing unless you are comparing Squier to Gibson etc.)it just gives it individuality. The body is somewhat heavy but it is a small price to pay for such a beutiful sounding guitar.

Standard MIM Tele - Agave Blue. Got a discount on a customer return that was pretty scratched up, with a couple of good dents and finish chips. Other than the damage, the fit and finish were good -- not great, but good. The tuners slip a bit, the fingerboard surface could have used some more buffing, and the frets aren't quite level in a couple of spots. It needs a little work to be what it should be. Still, this is a good basic guitar, and one that will certainly be improved with a good professional setup. As is, it plays fine -- action a little high for my tastes but not uncomfortably so. Hardware is of acceptable quality. But really none of that stuff matters so much.... the real question is... "how does it sound?"

Well, it sounds great. It is very responsive to nuances of picking style, pick angle and attack. Much more so than my Stratocaster... you want the volume up? Play harder. Seriously, you can really coax some great sounds out of this guitar. For that glassy clean Fender sound I prefer the tone the Stratocaster... but dirty things up a bit and this Tele really shrieks -- in a good way. The pickups are a little noisy, but man -- this thing will really sing and wail, and the harder you push it the better it sounds .... it just drips with tone. I am loving it -- would urge anyone to go buy one of these.... it's a crazy wicked good guitar for the money.

Good On Both Sides Of The Court

Trust me, this may sound weird but this guitar's even good for lead. What I mean by that is it has an awsome sound if you swich to the bridge pick up and play hard. If you play jazz or clasical guitar then this guitar will pay out in big sweet tones with a sweet sound on rythem and almost over powering solo sounds. So over all it has some apparent flaws, like less tone, but it's still pretty sweet.

This is my second guitar and my first Fender. I was really impressed for the price. the only problem I've had is the pickups buzzing, but thats it. Overall this is a great guitar for beginners and experienced guitar players.

I've had my Telecaster for over 2 years and I couldn't be happier. It has really stood the test of time(being in a bar every weekend). It only has a few paint chips out of it.The only complaint I had was the terrible buzz coming out of it, but I replaced the pick-ups with noiseless and now I would put up against any American Tele.Excellent guitar with a nice price tag.Good for the novice or the pro. A MUST OWN.
