Good guitar

I purchased the Roland Strat a few months ago. The Roland midi pickup was angled towards the bridge, and was set too low to get a good signal from the strings. Minor adjustment took care of that. As is normally the case, the Strat pickups can pick up 60Hz humm, so you need to keep it angled away from power sources. Outside of that, it plays great - like a Strat should. The neck feels great, good glide on the fingerboard. Finish was flawless. I run the midi thru a GI-20, then into my M-Audio soundcard. It does give me a few transients to chase down, but as my technique improves, they're getting fewer and farther apart. I love this axe!

I bought this guitar for a niche requirement: I found the internal Roland pickup preferred to the stick-on (such as I have on my Gibson EDS-1275). It gives satisfactory performance for average playing. The sound and action is okay.
