Overall, this guitar is a pretty good guitar. My style of music varies but i tend to stick with heavy metal/rock/blues. This guitar handles all of these types of music pretty well. The only trouble i have is with the tremelo bar. The guitar gets out of tune really easy when i play with the tremelo. Also, tuning down is pretty tough and the string tunings are inconsistent. The humbucker in this guitar is pretty good, but i suggest putting your guitar through some other type of distortion with this

This guitar is my favorite I've ever played.
I seriously bought this thing as a lark cause is was so cheap. Now I got a band and a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe and I can't belive the sounds coming out of the two together.
I used to play a ton and had a Les Paul, an SG, some flying V's -- I might own those again for a second or third but this little Mexican makes me wish I started with this guitar -- I might not have taken a break from playing

This was the first guitar I had. I sounded great and still does. If you are starting out, pick up this guitar. It has great feel. However, if you are looking for a strat and have been playing for a while I sugest getting a buying a higher grade. This strat give off a bit of feed back when played loud.

I bought this guitar in January, and now it is april. I can say that this guitar is probably the best you can get for that price range. Seriously, its got a humbucker in the bridge position, and 2 single coils. Thats just VERSATILITY. I can play anything from Hendrix to Zeppelin to Metallica! (considering you have a good amp or pedal). I might upgrade the humbucker, not that there is anything wrong with it, but I might need a little more crunch. I love the finish on it, its really shiny(mines is blue agave with a rosewood fretboard), which I might add is really sexy. I love how this guitar stays in tune. I even go crazy on the wammy bar, and i will only need a slight adjustment at the end of the week. The knobs are great, great switching, great pickguard. Most of all, its a REAL fender!! Not some crappy squier. Get this guitar if you want quality.

Let me just say that Fender has done yet another awesome job on this guitar. The price is unbelieveable. The feel is aswesome, even for an electric. The neck is different than a less paul or an SG. It doesn't have neck binding, huge trapizoide markers, or a thick finish on it, just the softest, fastest wooden neck on the face of the earth, sometimes the strings feel just a tad loose, but that's just because the neck is almost too easy to play on. The body is traditional strat, it isn't all box-like like some of those cheap copies are, it's got the rounded 3D contured shape I expected from a good Fender. It was made to be played and fits on you like no other guitar i've ever seen. As to the sound, I play it through a Line 6 Spider II 112 and it sounds awsome. The humbucker pickup is wounderful for clean or distortion. Though I like it better for distortion and one of the single coils better for blusey or clean tones. Great tone veritility. One thing I do want to say about the pickups, I just can't get a wailing strat tone, 'cause the bridge doesn't have a single coil, for this reason, and this reason only, i'd subjest getting an american fat strat 'cause it's got s1 switching alloweing you to change the hummbucker to a single coil. But don't get me wrong, this is a really great guitar and i've had no problems with it. And don't think it's really worth spending alot of extra money to get s1 switching unless you are really serisoue about a strat tone. Played through my spider II, which is like the most veritile amp around, you can get SO many different sounds. It's wonderful. another note on the amp, it's really aswome too, all the effets are simply wonderful, lacking alittle bit of profesional distortion but really good. And i'm not just one of those easy-to-please type people that put all 10's, i'm seriouse about my music. Get this guitar, you won't be dissapointed.
