This Fender SE Special Strat Value Pack includes a Squier SE Special Stratocaster electric guitar and an SP-10 amp, plus an instrument cable, electronic tuner, instructional DVD, guitar stand, gig bag, and picks.

The Squier SE Special Strat Electric Guitar combines 3 single-coils and 5-way switching for great tonal range. It also has a solid agathis body with shell pickguard, 21-fret rosewood fingerboard with dot position inlays, die-cast chrome tuners, and standard fulcrum tremolo bridge.

The Squier SP-10 amp controls include volume, treble, bass, and an overdrive on/off button that delivers tube-like tone. A headphone output allows silent practice. 10 watts drive a 6" speaker and the amp has a tough textured vinyl exterior.

Best of the Value Pak guitars

The Squier SE Strat is the best guitar available in a Value Pak. Unlike the Squier Affinity or Bullet models, the SE has the same full body thickness of a Fender Standard Stratocaster (1 1/2" instead of 1 1/4"). It also has the same full sized c-shape neck with small headstock found on a Fender Standard Strat. The little 10 watt amp is ok for practice or a backup, so you'll want to get a better amp after a time. But getting this Value Pak is the only way you can buy the SE model. It's the best one.

I have been playing guitar for about seven years. My parents bought me this guitar as a first electric. The guitar itself is OK, the amp wasn't too great. I recently purchased a Fender Tele and since then have found it difficult to go back to playing the Squier. If you are a beginner, by all means go for it, but if you are more experienced then you may want to invest in a 'nicer' guitar.

I am a student who's been playing for 4 years, and I bought this guitar as a backup to my previous strat. I chose the sunburst one, and I have to say, for the money, this is a fine guitar. Setting it up will take a while, but, if done correctly, will be worth while. Although, The other equipment in the package is pretty subpar. Overall, if you want to get a new quality axe, and don't want to spend a fortune, I'd recommend this guitar.

I didn'tt buy the pacck However, I do own the brown sunburst guitar, pictures cannot compare to the beauty of this guitar. Plays well, sure its DEFINately a beginner guitar but, all in all a good guitar.and when hooked up through my Peavey Orange amp, it sounds great. The gig bag, although cheap and I got it for free, does its job. I think it could be a little better built and I'm not completely comortable with my guitar in it but, it does its job.

I got this guitar for Christmas, definately sounds better than my Lyon by Washburn, the amp has pretty good tone. Not the best, but it's worth the money. Also, the 5-way pickup switch(the little white cap) came off almost immediately, I switched it, and it fell right off. but other than that I've been pretty impressed with it. now I'm running it through a peavey rage 158 15 watt amp. Get's really decent tone from that.
