I recently played one of these at a local music store and I must say, I was impressed. It has a very bright tone and great action. Don't listen to people who say Fender can't make a decent acoustic until you've tried this guitar.

First off, I have to say that this is probably my favorite acoustic-electric guitar that I own, and it's worth every cent. It plays beautifully and sounds amazing. I recommend it to anyone who enjoys that beautiful sound that comes from heaven.

I just got this guitar on Scratch N' Dent and I'm very surprised. There is only a small scracth in the finish on the back. I got the sunburst model and it is stunning. The maple neck and cream binding really set it off nicely. The fishman preamp with the on-board tuner works great, although I don't get as much bass volume on my low E string...probably just needs some tweaking.

As for playability, this guitar is very comfortable. The neck feels great and the set up was perfect out of the box. Don't be fooled by the people who say that it has a terrible acoustic tone because that is false. The Malibu sounds great on its own or plugged in. Of course, being such a small body, you aren't going to have the booming response like you would with a dreadnaught or jumbo, but the solid spruce top still sounds good if you listen to it. Try it out in a store first and you will see how nice and comfortable this guitar is to play.

I bought this guitar only last week, kinda a gamble since there were no reviews. I had previously owned a Fender Telecoustic and the two guitars are certainly similar, both light weight and both electronically powered by Fishman. Real power for any venue. However, I have large fingers and this guitar has a wider neck than did the Telecoustic, and works better for me. Very comfortable guitar to play. I was really surprised that the guitar was set up so well. Plays really easy. I did change the strings and put my choice on which makes it play easier. I also play fiddle and the guitar easily swings down and away to allow fiddle bow draw. I'm sold on the guitar, even tho I also play a Les Paul and a Highway One Texas tele in our country band. I have had trouble finding a guitar case to fit this guitar as there is not one made for it that I could find. Maybe later one will be available.

First off, I haven't played that many acoustic guitars. But I have played some of the best. (Taylor, Martin) This is a nice guitar for the price and its features. I mostly play the electric and was shoppin' for an acoustic when I saw this one. It has the feel of a strat, and even though it has a small body it has a good acoustic tone. I did not plug it into an amp, however I would still be tempted to buy it.
