This Fender Hot Rod Deluxe amp is out of control. I ordered the vintage edition Fender Blonde Hot Rod Deluxe. This amp is very, very loud. Wow! On the clean channel it sounds so crisp and clear, just simply amazing to someone who appreciates music. When I play on the Drive channel, I blow the doors down on 2. This amp has aggressive “Out Of Control” overdrive that will definitely wake up the neighborhood. When you open up the master volume knob, coupled with the overdrive knob, the sustain factor is ridiculous. The tubes generate serious sound, and I have not gone past 3 without hurting my ears. I do not use any special effects pedals; I get all sounds from the amp, although one time I tried my MXR Flanger thru the FX loop and it sounded simply outstanding. My setup sounds exactly like Jimmy Page, that’s how true this tube amp is. The foot pedal and amp cover were included, so for this price, you are set 4 life! Before you buy this amp I would try it out if possible. Very loud! Lastly, if you live in an apartment, this amp may not be for you… Otherwise, enjoy!

This amp is epic! It has extremely warm clean tones and aggressive overdrive that will definitely wake up your neighbors. This thing is LOUD! When you see 40W, most people think a tiny little box amp. It definitely isn't. The tubes push some serious sound, and I don't think we've pushed it past 3 without hurting our ears. You can't go wrong with this amp!

This is the best value combo amp out there and is a great value for the the price. It will take you from Bedroom to Arena all in one small package. (the only Con might be that it is a tad loud if you live in an apartment) but otherwise just rock out with organic tone. From rock to jazz to blues twang you got it. I sometimes use a Korg PX4 in front of mine and it just sounds great, leaves modeling amps in the dust (and I've tried quite a few).

I play a 1970 Super Reverb but I do not want to take it out to every gig. I picked this amp up to use on the road. I like it very much and I added a conversion kit to enable me to use the EL84's. I use it with a 2x10 cabinet and it is has all the volume and tone you need. Good value for the cost. Almost as good as my old Super.

This is by far the best combo amp I've ever played! The clean channel is impeccable for warm bluesy sounds and the overdrive is just outrageous. Then you get MORE overdrive for hot leads and solos. No need for pedals or effects either, just plug right into the amp and rev it up! The tubed overdrive is just incredible and it gives you that raw growl that just fills the room and no pedal or digital effect can ever come close. I recommend that you start with your settings low and work up from there, it can get out of control sometimes! I never had that problem with solid states or other brands of amps, I never could get enough, this is all I need and way, way more!
