OK, I have read many of the reviews of this amp and I wonder what people expect for an american made all tube amp for this price! I play in a classic rock band. My main axe is a modified 1962 Strat re-issue and I also use a Gibson SG standard which is stock. My rythem guitar player uses this amp with an American Standard tele. I use this amp as the lead guitar player. I changed the speaker to a Vin 30 and use a good effects pedal board for different Lead/cab sounds. For the bucks, it's been an excellent amp and had held up to the riggers of the road. I wanted a fender amp to go with my fender guitar. I could not be happier. sure, there are some problems with volume and quality of the overdrive but I have fixed those issues with my rig set-up. If you want a better amp them go ahead and spend over 2 grand! If you want a good tube combo 1-12 amp that won't break the bank then buy this!

ok so this amp really is incredible.
the clean channel is very clear and the right switch makes things very sparkly. its easy to get a warm rock tone, a bright country/ pop tone, and everything in between.
reverb is good, not xcellent but it seems to work really well and add a certain depth that holds unquestionable fender tone.
presence knob is only valid at high volumes- but when it is usable, it ands beautiful brilliance to your tone.
effects loop works best if you put all of your time based effects in there (delay, chorus, flanger, etc0 and leave your distortion/overdrive/fuzz/boost infront.
this thing is LOUD. but keep in mind- because they use a linear pot instead of a logarithmic pot. so there isn't much differece from 2 to 5, and from 6-9...
the overdrive channel is good, but not amazing. it sounds really good with a guitar with single coils, but not so good with humbuckers (after all they are renown as a single guitar maker)...
the awesome thing about fender amps (this one in particular) is that they are like a clean canvas on which you can pain anything- hat im saying is yeh the overdrive 1 and 2(which is more of a boost) isn't amazing, BUT stick a good pedal infront of it and walla!!!
anyone from metalheads to popstars to country can get the sound they want.
remember_ there is a reason why 75+% of session musicians use this amp.
you really cant go wrong. this thing is a beaut

I've been in the market to replace my line 6 spider 3 (don't ever get this if you have any sense of tonal preference), and I recently found this amp on musician's friend. I went into a local music store and luckily saw it there used. This thing is amazing, one of the best clean tones I've ever heard, and the exacty tpye of drive my band has been searching for. This thing is very loud, barely quiet enought at the lowest volume for in home playing. Sounds amazing, and isn't too huge for the sound.

I got REALLY lucky. I found an older American made unit for a ridiculous bargain. But this amp is still worth its new price. It's fully featured, loud enough for most gigs. For big venues, the sound tech will mic your amp either way. What blows me away about this amp is that it can acheive a warm, saturated tone at REALLY low volumes, which is great for home and for recording. The fidelity is amazing and there's no hum. I use pedals for heavy distortions and other effects, but the reverb and drive/more drive are great quality and certainly enough effects for a gig. Sometimes I leave my pedal board at home. It's an affordable professional amp suitable for most styles. You won't go wrong with it.

Well, I bought this amp one year ago at a pwan shop for $249.99 And she has never let me down. I play various types of music and she suits all of them fine. Weather High or Low tones, she kills them all with a beautiful style and sound!
I have one complaint about this Amp, when I bought it, she was perfect, nothing wrong atall, but one year later the input jack has come loose and wont tighten again. A little problem I can easily get past.
Overall, I love this Amp!
