this here is a players tele. I did change the brass barrels on the bridge to canted barrels to get the intonation spot on. Ive toured and recorded from New York City to Nashville with it. they wont keep pretty becasue of the finish but its going to sound better without all that poly-gloss on it. the ash body makes a diffrence its worth the extra bread. mine now looks terrible, I love it. its one of the best damn guitars I've ever owned.

Sweet vintage bite

I had to sell a co-owned 1968 Tele a few years ago, and since then I've been looking for a way to get one back, but as you know the cost for an American made axe can be very steep. Then the Highway one, with the looks, sound, feel and price comes along and the rest is recent history. It was delivered 3 weeks ago and I still can't put it down. The bite, the twang, the growl is all there. I have a very simple setup, Valve junior tube amp, and a Boss BD-2 Blues Driver. I kid you not, you'ld sware that you just left the Delta and arrived in Chicago with Muddy and the rest of the Blues giants! I would love to give all fives, but for the finish, although good but not great, it could have used an extra step or two, and the pickguard, which for some reason, Fender couldn't take five minutes to sand the sharp blunt edge. It sounds petty, but it's a step the consumer really shouldn't have to do. It has an awesome fast fat neck which for a person with large hands like myself is perfect. It also has that wonderful imperfect vintage sound that you get from the 3 brass bridge barrels, which spells....Blues sweetness.

This guitar has totally reignited my passion for playing. I had been using a Washburn WI66v up until the day I bought this, which don't get me wrong is a solid guitar, but just didn't have the sound or feel I wanted. I plugged the highway one texas tele in as soon as I got home and it gave me goosebumps. It has the classic Fender punch through the neck pickup, and good twang through the bridge, with some bell-tones when using both. The twang could be twangier, but is more than enough for now. The neck is probably my favorite part. So smooth and fast, I can play things I used to struggle with on my Washburn with ease on the tele. The neck gives it that feeling like it just fits, like it was made for me. People have complained about the finish but I love it, I have the honey blonde and it's beautiful. I can't wait for nitro's thinness to start working for me and rubbing off to give it that broke in look. Out of all the guitars I've played this is my favorite. I play it through a Fender DeVille 4x10 tube with a TubeScreamer and it gives me wood every time. When I play it clean, the note clarity is wonderful, near perfection. I couldn't be happier with it.

Straight Forward Telecaster

I just got this guitar yesterday. I traded my Stratocaster American Deluxe HSS for it. It sounds like a cheap trade, but I couldn't be more happy. It plays so smooth, and has the most comfortable neck i've ever played. It is light, and holds well while standing up with it. I'm a metal guitarist, and also own an Ibanez S 470 DXQM but i find this guitar to be a bit easier to play. If your debating to get this guitar, or a standard American Telecaster,. This is all you need.

THIS GUITAR IS SOoooo SICKKKK :-) :-) :-)

Well, this guitar is fantastic. The only reason this guitar did not get a 5.0 all around is cuz its paint job. It does not have the best paint job every and shows scratches and marks real easy. this guitar plays like butter over melting pop corn if that makes any sense
