I recently acquired this guitar through a trade...after doing a full setup & putting 10's on it, it's very nice! I also have a semi-hollow body with humbuckers, I only need to roll the tone pot down a bit with all the same amp settings...very good "strat" tones, great tele country spank, nice Stevie Ray neck tones....this thing is very close to being as nice as a $2000 tele, after doing some nice setup work.

I got this guitar for my birthday about two months ago and have already preformed four times with it! I've gotta say, the fender deluxe blackout telecaster is by far one of the best on the market, it's extremely versatile and reliable, and when I say versatile, I mean half of my concerts were metal and the other half jazz! BUY THIS GUITAR!

If you gotta have just one strat/tele for your guitar stable, get this one. For a hundred bucks more you get the strat sounds and the tele. Unless you need a tremolo, this will cover strat sounds nicely. I wanted a les paul, but two grand is more than I got right now! These are built really well- first guitar I've found in a while with zero flaws. I'll upgrade the tuners to locking staggered schallers and put the straplocks on, but otherwise, it's perfect. No real setup needed- ready for the show tonite. Can't wait to play Ten Years Gone on it- Awesome.

Amazing guitar I got this for christmas and it sounds amazing. I play everything from bob dylan to mettalica. and it always stays in tune and sounds great buit I realy wish there were more color options for people who want this sound but a diffrent look. since buying it I put gold hardware, american tuners, and a heavier bridge. But it did sound great even before that not to mention I bend my strings every way possibe and they never break and never go out of tune. The only problem I have had with this guitar is the frets are too high when you get it I had mine filled down. other than that this is a wonderfull, versitile, Amazing guitar. And plays just as good as any american fender or gibson.

I have been playing for about 7 or 8 years, playing electric regularly for about 3 years now. I got this guitar as a gift from my wife, and I'm telling you, this guitar is GREAT! Intonation is spot-on, I didn't have any buzzing or dead fret issues, and the pickups are great stock pups. I plan on swapping them out for a little more sparkle, but great vintage tone. Sounds like a dream coming out of a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe. Highly recommended. I wish the price was about $100 less, but don't we all. Overall a great guitar!
