This guitar, is just plain great. I played it through a fender amp and it had the best tone, the jaguar pickups really make a difference. The mustang body is just slick. The jazzmaster neck makes it nice to play. I thought the strat trem system was a little out of place on this guitar but it really works out nice. This guitar is a great fender combo, its great on distortion as well, if youre thinking of getting it... get it!

I bought this guitar as my first electric about 9 months ago. So far, it's been great. The pickups are really good quality, they're Vintage American Jaguars for crying out loud! They have a great twangy bright tone, great for ska. The finish is flawless, and the only set-up I had to do on my own was adjust the saddles because they were crooked. The only problems with this guitar is my bridge pickup switch has a short [no big deal, just annoying] and the tremelo bridge goes out of tune really easy. Put some Ernie Ball Slinkys on it, and you've got a great guitar.

I purchased this guitar about a year ago. It was a factory blem but I never expected the blem to affect the tone and playability. Instead of returning it I tried to correct the problems my self. I was able to correct the neck missalignment, the crooked pickups, the saddle adjustment screws that dug into my right palm but I have not been able to correct the poor tone, low volume of #1 E string or string buzz even after trying three different types of strings and two additional sets of saddles. I previously owned a Squire Affinity Strat that sounded just as good as the Cyclone at half the price. I have purchased other guitars from M.F. that I am very pleased With and you will still be my main source for gear.

I got the Cyclone for Christmas, and I was blown away by the performance of this guitar. First of all, let me give you the good things. Of course it is a Jag and a Mustang and a Strat combined, which gives it incredible versatility. The tone is amazing, and it's great for playing classic rock and even heavier stuff. It's pretty light, which makes it very playable. It stays in tune extremely well. But, the guitar you see on this site looks alot different than the guitar looks in person. The pickups are yellowish, the pickguard is very pearl, the upper body has more of a point to it (like the strat) and the finish is darker. Despite this, the guitar looks and sounds amazing, and has a great price.

Finally bit the bullet and purchased a fender guitar. I didn't want a strat. because everyone has one. I chose the Cyclone II because it looks so different. I have not been disapointed at all. I picked the daphnie blue because it looks so retro I thought. The guitar plays perfectly smooth and sounds really, really nice. The tone is far superior to what I had before. Everything about it was perfect. I was a little concerned about buying a Fender made in Mexico, but after going over it with a fine tooth comb ( I am very picky about details) I must say I can't find anything wrong. they did a great job, the quality control must be really good. I ordered it from Musicians friend and had it in three days, arrived in perfect condition and played fine right out of the box (after a quick tune). We have four other guitars in the house and this one is the best to play. I love it. Can't wait to buy a Jaguar one day :) Buy with confidence on this one. The stripe is cool too, in case you aren't sure.
