Not a reissue, but a modern interpretation of a classic Fender.
Turn it up when you want to soar, or turn your guitar down to play clean with the super-responsive, all-tube Fender Custom Vibrolux Reverb-Amp Combo. The more dynamic your style, the more you'll love the Custom Vibrolux Reverb's ability to whisper or scream in reply to changes in your pick attack. Connoisseurs call this combo amplifier the "Little Vibro-King!"
40W is loud enough for any club, and provides just the right punch in the studio, too. 2 - 10" Jensen alnico-magnet P10R speakers reproduce that fullness of tone for virtually any application. Clean, the Custom Vibrolux is punchy and full. With distortion, its punchy bass and horn-like midrange make this amp ideal for sustained and scorching solos.
Both channels (Normal, Bright) have access to the tube reverb and vibrato, which you can control with the included 2-button footswitch.
The Custom Vibrolux Revert-Amp Combo was designed in the Fender Amp Custom Shop and built on the regular tube amp line in the U.S.

One of the world's most-collected vintage amps . . . with updated sound and specs. It's the heavenly, warm, overdriven tone you've been craving. Order today!
I was pretty stoked on this amp when I played it in a local shop, but when I played it was going straight through with no effects. I thought the clean was really nice, but when I got this one out of the box it was a whole different story. The eq seemed to be out of control and when I ran distortion and overdrive pedals they sounded like trash. I don't know if I got a dud or what, but I also had that terrible humming. In my opinion there are better amps you can get for half the price. I haven't lost faith in fender amps, but be careful with this one. I will say that the build quality was good and everything felt very solid, but sound quality was just not there for me.

I bought this amp 3yrs ago after a tough and drawn out process. I played through twins, bassmans and any other fender amp I could get my hands one and the vibrolux knocked my shocks off... tone power it has it all. I play 3-4 nights a week and for 4-5hrs at a time and have never had a problem. I never play past 3 to 3.5 theres no need this amp kills. Thank you fender for another reason keep playing

A New- Old Vibe
Posted by Tubes4Tone from WayDownSouth, MS on Mar 30, 2009
This Custom Vibrolux Reverb is nothing short of a blast to play through! Effects on both channels is a nice touch from the older ones. This baby is so touch sensitive & rich in harmonics, it has to be heard to believe. I believe this will be the new Club and studio standard for Fender. You can tell that this amp was made to actually please guitar players-not just amplify sound. Oh-yeah, Made in the good old USA, Still means something to me in the ever shrinking American made products! This little amp will be your new buddy!Hats off to Fender for continuing the tradition!

great amp, may not have enough headroom

This is a great amp. Great size, perfect weight for gigging. I found that it did not have enough headroom when it needed to compete with our drummer. Your drummer may be quieter, or you may not care if you don't get a clean sound. The blues sound is really fantastic when it breaks up. This thing is solid as a rock. The craftsmanship is EXCELLENT! I personally would like to see an FX loop so I gave it a 4.0 for features. There is some hiss, but it really doesn't detract from anything when you are playing above 2. The vibrato oscillates the hiss too which is a little distracting, but again, I don't think it is devastating. I think new Fender equipment is over-priced and really think this baby ought to be about $200 less for what you get. I sold it and replaced it with a blues deville because I wanted the FX loop and a little more clean headroom.

I first wanted a twin reverb since its a classic and all but:
1. 85 watts, extremely, extremely loud. Way to much for a gigger
2. 60 pounds that backs can't take on a night to night basis
3. Pretty expensive and it doesnt break up on its own so youd have to spend a couple more hundred on a nice distortion pedal
Then i tried the Vibrolux and it was everything i needed:
1. GREAT, BEAUTIFUL sound. At low volumes very soft and melodic. When cranked and when the volume on your gutiar is all the way it breaks up in a heavenly way. When you roll back the volume it cleans up a lot. I play through since coils, if i played humbucksers it would probably break up a bit too early for me, but i dont play with much distortion. There is a hum, but once you start playing in your basement, not to mention a club, you can't hear it. One minus to this amp is if you floor the reverb and vibrato the HUM is "vibratoed" aswell, and you can deifnltey hear that all the time. Oh and when the volumes cranked it gets a eally RAW throaty sound, but then you roll back the gutiar volume and more bass kicks in and you get a tight ryhtmm sound.
2. 40 watts, nice and managable , but still very loud
3. Treble and Bass gets the job done, doesnt even need a Middle control
4. 40 pounds or something, not too ridiculous
5. This thing looks beautiful, with the white knobs and all...wow
6. Made in the USA
7. Takes pedals greatley
So those are my reasons for buying this. The tone ive always been in love with has been bob dylan and the band in 1966/ early ac/dc / muddy waters, and this amp defintley gets me a wicked mix of those sounds. Try one out, it may be what you need.
