The Classic Strat V Neck is loaded with 2 Modern Classic single-coil pickups (neck, middle) and a Hot Classic single-coil pickup (bridge) with a custom steel inductance plate. The Classic V Neck also has a 3-ply parchment pickguard and a Custom Classic 2-point synchronized tremolo with milled solid-stainless saddles, solid steel spring block, and pop-in arm.

Only time I have been justified buying new

The Fender Custom Shop has made me a very happy working guitarist. First thing I did was set it up with some 11's but to be honest, it was a tone monster with the light strings already. Beautiful finish, but maybe a little delicate for the stage because I have already put tiny hairline little cracks in two spots where I lightly dinged it; more lightly than you would expect to cause a crack. BUT, the trade off is the aforementioned incredible tone. Really, I can't say enough about how this guitar sounds and plays. Fret work is better that I have ever had on a new guitar. Neck is a perfect V with the back in satin. Very comfortable contours. I think the only thing I am going to change is the saddles. Will go for the bent metal ones to get a little more "swirl" out of her and I think I have the guitar I will be playing till I die.
