I've just started playing guitar, and I learned a very important thing from someone who's been playing guitar for years: Do not spend a lot of money on acoustic guitars. First of all, when you're paying thousands of dollars for one, you're paying for all the fancy crap they put on it, that has absolutely nothing to do with playablity. Like pearl and ebony finishes and things. An acoustic guitar will sound better and richer with age. Let me just say that this guitar is perfect for beginner and proficient players. It sounds perfect and looks amazing. One thing I would suggest is changing the strings, but that's just me because I prefer a lighter sound. This guitar also comes with a case that is airline approved. Fender did a wonderful job with this. I just don't see how anyone could go wrong with this.

I've owned the Fender CD-60 Dreadnought for about a year and would recommend it to anyone looking for a solidly built, easy to play, great sounding guitar. For quality of sound it would be difficult to top this instrument for the price: richer, deeper sound than guitars in this price range usually produce - at least all those I've tried. It was even better when I swapped out the factory strings for medium phosphor bronze ones. Also, unlike many inexpensive guitars, it stays in tune very well. I marked down the quality a little because my original had a defect in the neck/fretboard that made the high E and B strings buzz when they were fretted around the 12-14th frets. Fortunately, my local shop replaced the guitar no-questions asked and the replacement has played perfectly.

I had played guitar here and there thoughout college and finally decided I would get my own guitar and start taking it seriously. I wanted a decent entry level guitar but didnt want something that was gonna be a waste of money once I was pretty good. Shopped around for about a month and did some research on prospect guitars. Decided I would go with this guitar and havnt looked back since! So for all of the selective buyers like myself, let me save you some time. This is where it is at for an entry level guitar! The sound, quality, and accessories are great considering what you pay and I dont think you will find a better guitar for a better price! Also comes with hard case and when I got mine it came with a beginner kit that had some tools that are needed for re-stringing, some picks, extra strings, and polish. Which was nice to have!

Two thumbs up for this Guitar. I just got it today and played it for 2 hours non-stop. I couldm't put it down. Shipping and packaging was excellent. For the price I would recommend it for all beginners. Thanks "musiciansfriend" for a great deal. Well worth the bucks.
