I recently picked up a Olympic White Deluxe HHS, and I have a hard time pitting it down. The action is amazing, the machine heads are perfectly precise and the tone options are far beyond anything else I've ever worked with. Not too mention, this guitar is gorgeous! the LSR Rolling Nut sustains like nothing I've ever heard. I can honestly say I will have this guitar FOREVER....and its value should only rise !!

I've been playing American Strats for over 30 years now. I have finally found the perfect instrument. I got my amber deluxe a little over a year ago after my 1985 Strat was ripped off after a gig. This guitar plays and sounds better than any that I've owned. I need a wide variety of sounds and don't want to be switching guitars all the time. The S-1 feature and all of the add other upgrades are well worth the extra money. If your looking for a great axe, this is it.

After 25 plus years I wanted to get a new guitar. I finally settled on this. Mine is the 3 tone Sunburst with the Rosewood fretboard. The this plays and looks fantastic. The S1 switch provides such tonal range that it will be a while before I find out when and where to use it. The tremolo with the LSR roller nut is the perfect combination. It never goes out of tune. The electronics are very quiet and the neck is ultra smooth. It comes with a nice hardshell case, strap, strap locks and a patch cord. I was able to get mine before the prices went up but it's still well worth the money.

I obtained a brand new Fender American Deluxe HSS Strat in 2004, so it's a 50th Anniversary edition. If I could have ordered a custom-made Stratocaster, it couldn't have been any better than this. This guitar has everything I want in an instrument: slim neck with a rosewood fretboard, locking tuners, a roller nut, vibrato (whammy) bar, a great pickup combination of two single coils and one humbucker (bridge), and of course the additional tones afforded by the S1 switching feature. The pickups are super quiet and hotter than traditional single coils. It played like a dream when I first picked it up, and it's just an all-around beautiful and well-made instrument for a great price (I own the amber model). I do not use it live because I want to keep it from getting banged up, but I used it on my first all-instrumental guitar CD "read between the lines," and it will be the primary electric guitar on my current project as well. I love Les Pauls and other guitars as well, but there's just something about a Strat (I own five of them, so I guess I'm a true fan). Great value, too ... check one out when you get a chance!

I've owned this guitar for a year now and each time I pick it up I'm impressed with the workmanship and feel. I own the Olympic White with tortoise shell pickguard. The upgrades the deluxe strat offers are $ well spent. The roller guide nut, locking tuners, & S1 switch are great upgrades. I'm puzzled at some of the comments re: the S1 switch. Its pretty easy to figure out with the schematic offered by Fender. It essentially adds 5 more pick-up combinations to the 5 way switch. The humbucker adds a crunchy tone to the guitar while the neck and middle noiseless single coils preserve that unique stratocaster sound. I recommend this axe without reservations. Play it through a Blues Junior NOS and you'll have trouble putting it down I promise you.
