The Fender Acoustasonic 30 DSP Combo Amp with Effects is an upgraded version of Fender's best-selling Acoustasonic 30. Its 30W amp drives an 8" LF driver plus tweeter. Lightweight and portable, it's an ideal choice for handling acoustic-electric instruments and vocals. The mic and instrument channels have independent EQs. A phase switch controls feedback while the String Dynamics control reins in harsh treble on the instrument channel. The mic channel has phantom power. The line out lets you go direct to a mixer. DSP effects include reverb, delay, chorus, and more. An optional footswitch controls effects switching on both channels.

I've recently upgraded equipment inluding the new Fishman tower system from Musicians Friend. To complete my sound I purchased the Fender Acoustisonic 30. I was astounded by the deep and clear sound. Am impressed that an amp this small and portable can provide such a clean and awsome sound. A total 5 for overall value and sound on my scale!

I got this amp a few months ago, and it sounds amazing. I dont like the way my mic sounds on it but I never use it anyway. I mainly use room, hall, and reverb + chorus. The amp has an overall nice, clean sound. My main issue is that it is not loud AT ALL. Maybe its just me, or my amp just has an issue. Even with my amp and volume all the way up, it is enough sound for my room alone but anywhere else it would not work well. But anyways, if you are looking to further your acoustic guitar's capability and take your playing to a whole new level and sound, this is a wonderful amp. Besides its beyond amazing price and great effects, you cant go wrong with Fender.

Great Solo Amp

Fender has put a lot of useful features in a nice package. I use it with a fishman equiped Larrivee and the sound is open and vibrant. The many effects are cool, but I usually use just the room and hall settings. The mic channel is also good with enough effects to keep any vocalist sounding good. There are a couple of drawbacks though worth mentioning. When playing and singing at higher levels the mic channel breaks up as if the speaker can't handle it. If you plan on playing with acompanyment like drums, keyboard, or electric guitar, this amp doesn't have the horsepower to keep up. You will need to run it through a PA to be heard. One nice feature is that there is a line out so you can plug it directly into the PA and use it as your stage monitor. If you want to have a more versatile set up for gigs and jamming I would recommend a Passport 500, it has several channels, enough for a couple of acoustic guitars and a couple mics.

At one time these were one of the best values for the price but with Fender's drastically increased prices it is no longer worth the cost. It's hard to imagine what Fender was thinking, with this economy, raising all their prices to the degree they did. I like this and my Acoustisonic JR but will be very careful with them since replacing them is not something I could afford. Worth it if you can pick up a used one from somebody who bought it a while back.

Great Product, but...

It's not for vocals. I have run my electronic drums through this thing and the tone is absolutely astonishing. The vocals just weren't crisp enough. I have an SM58, which is a great mic, but the acoustasonic just couldn't get the sound I wanted. No matter though, it makes my Garrison G series solid cedar acoustic electric guitar sound like a million bucks. I tried it in the store several times and bought a different amp a lower price point. I promptly returned the other amp and bought this one instead. Go with your gut on this one. Get the fender and don't be dissapointed.
