At one time these were one of the best values for the price but with Fender's drastically increased prices it is no longer worth the cost. It's hard to imagine what Fender was thinking, with this economy, raising all their prices to the degree they did. I like this and my Acoustisonic JR but will be very careful with them since replacing them is not something I could afford. Worth it if you can pick up a used one from somebody who bought it a while back.

It's not for vocals. I have run my electronic drums through this thing and the tone is absolutely astonishing. The vocals just weren't crisp enough. I have an SM58, which is a great mic, but the acoustasonic just couldn't get the sound I wanted. No matter though, it makes my Garrison G series solid cedar acoustic electric guitar sound like a million bucks. I tried it in the store several times and bought a different amp a lower price point. I promptly returned the other amp and bought this one instead. Go with your gut on this one. Get the fender and don't be dissapointed.

I played this when I went into my local shop the other day. It has great tone and the harmonics of the guitar really come out. I was plating a seagull 12 string and it sounded amazing! Good job Fender

Little acoustic wonder

I actually own an older model 30 without the DSP effects and it absolutely rocks! I have an Ovation CK-057 and it is very punchy and bright with it's built in pre-amp. I also have an Aria AD-80 with a K&K pick-up and use a PreSonus Tube-pre pre-amp with it and it sounds as it should - a great sounding acoustic, but loud! The Acoustasonic has clear balanced sound and even works pretty well as a stand alone system for vocals and instrument in a small venue (my bedroom/music room). I have also played my '57 Martin 0-18 through a Shure SM-58 mic and though a little hard on feedback, the sound is oh so sweet! I have played the DSP model at the bricks and mortar store and found the electronics clean and realistic, but I wonder how much use I would get out of them.

This is an amazing acoustic amp! I use it mostly for studio recording. I use it for a Taylor T5 Acoustic-Electric Guitar and it makes the acoustic part of the guitar sound clear, pure, and amazing! The best part of this amp is the effects it has to give to your acoustic guitar! Its is truly one of the best acoustic amplifiers especially for the price!
