Good Amplifier

I have been using this amp for several years now and am completely happy with it. The tone is very good, the bright switch comes in handy from time to time. I use a TS9, as well as an MXR delay with the amplifier and get great Rockin Blues and Texas Blues tones.
The four Jensen's work well and break up nicely, they give a nice vintage grummble. I don't play the amplifier much beyond five, it has lot's of power, I have got it up to seven in larger rooms however for the most part I play at around four to five.
I play my Strat's and Les Paul through the amplifier, it is perfect for the style of music that I play.
It is on the edge of being to heavy to pack around gig to gig, however the weight is accetable.
If it is Texas blues, Rockin Blues, Blues and Classic Rock that you play, then I highly recommend this amplifier.

Unless you've got the cash to buy it, I would warn against plugging into this amp because once you do there's no going back! That's what happened to me - I went into the store for something completely unrelated and while there I started browsing and kicking the tires and ended up trying one of these out. The next week I literally couldn't stop thinking about this amp and I went back and bought it. It's simply the greatest tone I've ever heard! I LOVE it! One thing to note is you're going to need a good OD pedal if you want dirt because you gotta get this sucker loud before it breaks up. Don't get me wrong, the amp's natural breakup sounds amazing - only thing it's you'll be blowing the shingles off your roof. Yeah, it's that loud. It's pretty manageable at lower volumes though and the volume pot has a nice even sweep to it (not like a Deville where all the volume is between 0-4 on the knob). Great, great, GREAT tone here. This will be my amp until the day I die.

bought mine new from a mom and pop store. trem channel and reverb went bad in less than a year. took to GC. GC sent it out and it came back MORE damaged than it went in. GC replaced it for me--thank you. I sold it a few months later.
Fender may have a huge and loyal following but they've lost me with there quality and clear desire to own everything under the sun.

I have played through many many amps in my life and have tested different amps with other guitars, so to my fello guitarist (I know what Im talking about). This is the perfect amp if you wont a great texas blues or rock tone. I was tryin to decide between the blues deville and this, When I cranked it up with a nice strat I knew this was the one. the only complaint is when I got it, one of the corner gaurds was torn off, was able to fix it with a screwdriver. At this price it should not have happend. The controls are very simple but you need to take your time with it to get that perfect tone, and trust me youll be very very very happy with it. If your wanting an amp that will give you great tone this is the king of tone. the tens have a very bassish punch, sparkling highs, and perfect mids. I cant complain. If you have the money its worth it bcs you only have to buy it once, and it will last longer than you. so I say good job to you FENDER. keep the 65 super reverb goin. My settings, bass- 3.5 mid-4 treb-4.5, it seems to sound realy good at those settings. Rev 2.5 or 3. beleive it or not I got some pretty good acdc tones with a SG and the route66 overdrive.

I thought long and hard about what new amp i would buy. I looked at hot rods, devilles, princeton reverbs, and some other tube amps. as a 14 year old boy, i decided finally to go with the super. and i am so glad that i did. it breaks up beautifully and the cleans are amazing. the reverb sounds absolutely incredible, even when the amp is driven. i would recommend this amp to any buyer! i play a standard tele through mine and i get some beautiful tones.
